Maybe I'll use up all of the demo levels and decide if I like it enough. I had it before in January but traded it in in a couple of months but apparently it is much better now.
 
Yayyy finally finished off that exotic sword quest step ie 10 materials farmed then void ability kills. Holy mother of god what a pain in the butthole that was :p. But happy to have finally finished the damn thing off.
 
Ran 2 hours worth of strikes / 3oC tonight and banked a load of engrams, in the hope that Bungie may let us decode to the new light level on Friday, if not, nothing lost.

I'm sat at a comfortable 306 right now and really starting to wonder if this is the right time to quit soon, I mean, theres not going to be a drastic amount of content change any time soon. I'll likely play up until Fallout 4 and take a break for a while.

I think I will be switching back to ES:O for a bit. Fallout 4 is my next "must buy".
 
Picked up my 45th fragment this morning so went off to farm the 50 hadium flakes for Eris. Turned that part of the quest in and she's not giving me the final step.

This must mean that although I have 45 fragments, i must have missed some on this character and with no way of knowing which are missing on a particular character I'm going to have revisit each and every one until I get the ones I need.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrgh. What a nightmare! Thought I'd be getting my ToM today but that's thrown a big spanner in the works :eek:

Even more so if one of the fragments you need is a boss on rotation in Court of Oryx!

Do you have all 45 on the same character, I reached 45 but I only have 44/50 on my hunter :/.

I mustn't have them all on my Titan or I'm presuming the last stage of the quest would pop up as I've done everything else. I don't know of any way of checking the actual number my titan has though - all the trackers just seem to show the account wide number you have :mad:
 
The dreadnaught map screen tells you how many you have on that character. Unfortunately there is no way to know which ones you missing though as the trackers look at your grimoire which is account wide.

Nope sounds like he had the same problem I did. 45 fragments (well 46) but only 43 on Pigtails (The Dreadnaught screen in the director tells you how many fragments that character has).

The only way to know which you have on a single character is either;

1) Only collect them on one character in the first instance, or;

2) Manually check off each fragment against a list.

I had to do the second one.... :o
 
Had never noticed the map screen showed you that! So it seems I've got 43 on my Titan. Just checked all the locations on the dreadnought and have all of them.

Just need to check all the other 'normal' locations and if I don't find any more it must be from court of oryx. This is painful.

To be honest it is worth going through the effort at least once as touch of malice is a really good gun especially if you are doing the raid. I am tempted to do it again on my alts as the ToM drops at 310 so it will be nice to infuse some legendary guns up to 310.
 
It certainly isn't a bad idea to run through the ToM quest steps on your alts, but I wouldn't go out of my way to do them actively.

None of the steps are difficult they just require grinding.

The last step (270 Fear Eater mission) is pretty easy if you stick to the entrance hallway and have two people on add control.
 
Well I've just done all the different Tier 2 Court of Oryx pairings and didn't get any fragments, so as I thought, I'd already done them.

I know I've definitely not done Kragoor on T3 on any of my characters, so I can discount that as 1 of my missing ones (although I can obviously do that when he next pops up). I've done Balwur but can't remember which character, so that's a possibility of being one of my missing 2.

Other than that, I've no idea. I've run through all the ones on the dreadnought/regicide and thought I'd got them all but I'm missing one somewhere. Driving me nuts this is :eek:
 
You can get 47 so you have a little leeway to get the 45. So glad I only really ran my Titan though :)

1 sunless cell
1 shield brothers
A bunch of CoO
5 or 6 in regicide?
5 in the raid
Rest on patrol.

It's not too bad running through them. Only really annoying one was the stinky platformer...damn that thing!
