32" monitor suggestions £500 or less budget. advice

Why not this one?...

Tried it... brightness bands made it feel like looking through a dirty window :( Many forums complaining about the same problem. No luck with a Samsung equivalent either; same thing. Think it's a common problem with AMVA.

Maybe I was just unlucky, however - I'd be interested to know if so, maybe I could take a punt on a 3rd. Think Philips span up a new 32" QHD model just this summer, could have a go with that...

I think I have pretty much decided on the Dell.

The good lady is giving me cash for my birthday all I need to do is convince her I would rather have it now than the end of next month.

Well the stocks on it are loww, maybe a I have to order soon to avoid them selling out may help swing it.

You need time to check it, just in case you need to send it back for a replacement ;)
Very true.

** No hinting **

As it looks like the 34"Dell will be my next monitor I have a question regarding the fact that it is curved. If you have a couple or more word docs side by side are they going to look weird, will the text look OK?

Curved for 34" UW is much preferred, than a non-curved. A curved monitor provides a more natural image. Non-curved looks height stretched at the ends. This is due to the curved nature of the eye.
