Tell me about it, i had mine barely over 2 weeks and i've had to send it back to ocuk due to faults and the panel going faulty.
Gonna get a refund and invest it in a different one still with Gsync me thinks, because i dont like this Acer one, awful colours.
I went with the AOC G2460PG for a number of reasons.
I wanted to achieve 144fps for 144hz with my gtx 970 so i went with 1080 [only losing out on 3 inches and 17ppi]
I wanted Gsync and decent colours, according to reviews the AOC has superior colours to most TN panels.
Sitting beside it is a dell IPS ,ofcourse the colours are not as nice but goign back to it to game after the AOC gsync was absolutely shockingly slow despite my playing on it for 2 years.
I also wanted decent build quality,this thing feels to be built just as good as my dell u2412m which is well known for legendary build quality,also no dead pixels or dodgy OS menu or dust behind screen like the horror stories we hear about the asus and acer gsync screens.
Gsync can be got for great value with great quality with this monitor.

I've never had any issues playing MMORPG's at around 30 to 35fps, I'm mulling over having two screens and using a 32" 1440P for these type of games for the immersion into the game worlds.Cully said:
I'm also contemplating the AOC G2460PG for FPS, because in my opinion I wouldn't want a large screen for these type of games, too big screen and too much going on, it's all about the kills not how fancy the colours are etc, I bet pro gamers don't use big screens either.
If ya lock your fps to 59 its smooth as silk all the time.
Going off track here a bit but original TN swift user here too. I run 2x780Ti's in SLI and was initially unimpressed with a few games that have stutter issues with SLI and Gsync. A major fix I have found is to run the Swift at 60Hz and then use RTSS with the frame limiter set at 59. Doing this it's smooth as absolute silk. Currently using this tweak for GTA 5, Witcher 3 and Assassins Creed Unity.
These are all punishing games at max settings so 59/60 FPS is about the best you could hope for anyway with most set ups.
I'm something of stutter elimination obsessive. I'm no expert on the technical causes but I think it's something to do with frame pacing/SLI/Gsync , which is why the 60 hz/ 59 fps limit trick seems to work so well.

I also find windowed borderless mode to be very good for smoothness and a screen tear free experience.
Those 2 things alone can make a massive difference to me for gaming/smoothness, I am extremely sensitive to stutter and screen tear so playing games without vsync/WBM is a no go. Heck I can't even stand the micro stutter on my TV when playing back films, tv episodes etc. so I have to use the hated built in panasonic intelligent frame creation!

Not really, i had a catleap 1440 and it wasnt that much better looking at all,better yes but not as much as some people would have you believe.
Yeah it isn't "just" the resolution that makes the difference, the size of the display matters just as much so when people say 1440P, 4k etc. looks so much better than 1080P they actually mean to say the PPI value.
That is why when watching videos etc. on mobile devices i.e, 1440/1080P @<6" always looks so much better for clarity & sharpness than any monitor (and also because they don't have any anti-glare finish)

But you get insane Input lag.. Its like playing with Vsync @ 30fps
I tried Skyrim with Gsync enabled and FPS Limit set to 59. I also tried CSGO, horrible experience in either game. Move mouse to left: takes a few ms before it occurs ingame.
Try a match of DM in CSGO, the inputlag is horrific. I dont see why its even marketed as a Gaming thing and "zero inputlag" when it clearly has an insane amount of it. It only works >100fps but even then theres some inputlag compared to without Gsync. As you can tell when you disable Gsync the smoothness is much improved. With Gsync it literally feels like some kind of Acceleration or Mouse Smoothing enabled.
Well there's the X34, but other than that I don't really know.
I picked up Vermintide (great game btw) but my fps isn't spectacular. Drops into the 40s at times during the big hordes. With Gsync I find it totally playable though, and barely notice the drops in all the action. I really am loving it.
