Corsair H100i GTX watercooler fans ?

Cheers … will have a look… prob be going for the cougar vortex HDB V12HP's as they will match my Cougar case fans… plus they look good in pull setup which I need to do with my in win 805 case… has to draw cold air from bottom of case lol

I have 2 Cougar CFD120 red led fans… 3 pin… could I use those on my Corsair H100i GTX running on a Asus Z170 deluxe motherboard… which I'm guessing the motherboard can control the 3 pins fan speeds ?… not got motherboard yet lol
Would these fans be any good or will they need to sp fans ?
Cheers

That's what I thought… shame as got no use for these fans now .
Do I need to use 3 pin fans or 4 ?
The cougar vortex are 4 pin… but no led which is a shame… but not a major issue… but most led fans are 3 pin

Yes, very hard to find LED PWM/4 pin fans. I use 3 pin high static pressure fans, but I control them with a fan controller with voltage control.

Yes looks like motherboard will control fans ok by what just been reading .
Think stick with original choice then of the cougar vortex ....sept non in stock at mo lol

Just been looking at the Deepcool TF120's… saying as good as noctua's… but have led's and look way better… so might go for these

Not sure if I should have them pushing air from the case through the radiator......temps seem fine so guess it makes little difference.

try it with the fans pushing through the radiator rather than pulling through. when fans are used to pull (usually used to pull air into the case) they often need some space.

ok will try that ....thinking of going for the corsair h110i gtx now as it has the 140mm fans so will hopefully run quiter ...now deepcool dont do those led fans in 140mm ...so looking at noiseblocker nb eloop's now lol
good job my motherboard ,cooler and cpu not sent out yet as cpu on backorder ...so can change my order lol

Right… been looking at the 140mm fans… choice between the phanteks and the noiseblocker nb eloop… on paper the phanteks look better… any input most appreciated.... Nightmare its becoming lol

I'm going to get H100i GTX soon. My H105 pump noise is getting loud.

If your H105 pump noise is unbearable, like louder than your case fans, then you should get it replaced via RMA. If you're still under warranty, I'd strongly recommend that you take advantage of it.

That's the one I was going to get… but bigger cooler and bigger fans hopefully means quieter running

Pretty much and better performance overall. 140 fans when optimized correctly should run quieter than 120 fans. Can your case support 280rad? H110i GTX is our best AIO cooler thus far, you won't be disappointed.

Yes my In win 805 case allows upto 280mm radiators so all good :-)

Will the H110i GTX fit in the top of Phanteks Evolv ATX? I should look at the specs on here.

Edit: yes it does :)

I bought the H105 from OCUK on the 23 may 2014? How would I go about RMA the cooler?

Probably best to do it direct with corsair since they're pretty good.

IIRC if you want an advance replacement for no downtime though you'll need to skype call them to arrange that via the US.
