Anyone know a good ST in Serie A? I've tried both Mandzukic and Bacca who have been useless. To be fair it was only in cup games where I seem to be useless :p

I had Bacca in a cheap Serie A team the other day and found him really good, sold up and made a silver Bundesliga team for Aron Johannsson who seems good again this year.

why waste time / money buying all these expensive players when we all know that the game is borked and it depends on lag / momentum / whatever (oh and player skill sometimes) more than assembling uber rated players....

Tried my luck against the team of the week last night on Legendary difficulty - fared surprisingly well (given that I sometimes struggle on World Class!) and actually dominated the game - something like 9 shots to their 3!

Anyway, ended up losing 1-0 to the weakest penalty call I think I've ever seen - my AI defender put his foot in to tackle while out wide and the only thing that was (just) inside the box was my defenders trailing foot (ie. absolutely none of the attacking players body/feet/thoughts were actually in the box) - PENALTY!

I'd usually rage at this sort of thing but I've got so used to the bugs in this game that I just sat back and laughed! :D

It's true, know that too well. Otherwise my lower rated squads wouldn't be doing better against superior opposition.

People are purposely borking chemistry to trigger this off as well.

One thing I have noticed, in form players don't seem to be affected by "scripting" the same way.

A cheap in form 78 rated players seems to get the job done better than an 83/84 rated normal rare gold.

Also sold my La Liga team and built this. I had Suarez but everyone around him was crap.

Nice job.

I'm having a crack at Ligue 1. So far Serie A team done better than the La Liga one. See how the French one goes.

Here it is, just need to get Di Maria in there for Boufal later and i'm done.

What as your La liga team looking at building one with either Suarez or Messi cash depending

I can tell you what players not to bother with.

Kroos..... way too slow, to the point he's useless online. 50 odd pace. wtf
Benzema is overated. Think I hit the post and bar with that donkey more times than I could count. Griezmann and Martinez were far better.

Bale is always sluggish but has a good shot on him. No idea how EA managed to make him seem so bad.

Modric is better than Iniesta, mainly because he can defend a bit.

Busquets is garbage. Krychowiak in-form is far far better. More mobile, better on the ball and a solid tackler.

Sergio Ramos is great, worth every penny. So was the in form Laporte card. Good centre back pairing.

An Alba \ Alves combo as full backs is better than the Marcelo \ Danilo approach.

Rakitic doesn't have very good defending stats, but because of his presence and PHY rating he is decent at winning the ball as well as having a good shot on him. He takes a good corner too.

Neymar was pretty decent but it depends how you play.

Of all the players, James Rodriguez was probably the most effective.

Now you tell me... :D

Had Rakitic on loan, did a great job so went out and picked him up, scores loads of free-kicks for me.

Tevez is decent. IF Dybala is good too, not sure if he is worth it over his NIF, could sell and save a bit for Pogba if he is worth it.

Tevez has the highest in game stats out of any ST/CF. Just a shame about his league this year but there's a few decent Argentinians you can fit around him to make it work.
