Hi

So I've got a gaming pc but only a limited main ssd drive (a 120 ssd). Want to get a bigger drive to store games on as I'm rather unsurprisingly running out of space already. Thing is aside from avoiding seagate I don't really know what to get. I'm assuming something from western digital but all these colour category drives are confusing. Any pointers? No real budget but cheaper = better. I've got an antec isk600 case fwiw.

Thanks

WD Black - Designed for gaming but they are quite loud - 5 Year Warranty
WD Blue - Designed for ordinary users, quieter than blacks - 3 Year Warranty
WD Green - Designed to be quiet and is slower and not really suitable for gaming - 3 Year Warranty
WD Red - Designed for NAS and RAID setups - 3 Year Warranty
WD Red Pro - Same as WD Red but with a 5 year warranty

Sorry to butt in, but when you say the WD blacks are quite loud, just how loud are they?
I currently run a 3tb green & while very quiet I'm wondering if the performance increase from a black edition would be worth swopping out.

It's loud when the HDD is active as it is designed to have very low access times so the read head moves pretty abruptly making it a little loud. :p
