Cat owners

But feathers, feathers everywhere!

depends how good you are with the wand (ooh, err misses) - ours doesn't seem to shred the feathers through.

Ping pong balls seem to be the favourite toy at the moment, they seem to live under all the chairs and cupboards in the kitchen / living room. You get an occasional mad flurry and the sound of ping pong balls ricocheting off everything

I've tried Luna with ping-pong balls but she doesn't like them unfortunately, I think they're a little too big and she can't bite them.

The only things she will play with are balls of tin foil, which also end up under the fridge and sofa, a piece of thin rope and the ties on a hoody; she'll sit on my lap and chew them for hours.. .annoyingly :p

Mac seems to go through stages with different toys, he used to love bits of foil but totally went off them, same with squash balls - our friends ones love crisp packet triangles (when you fold crisp packets into little triangles :))

Catit Senses 2.0 wave came, one of them gets it, the other just watches her. Kind of makes the £13 for plastic (doesn't seem very high quality, one of the covers isn't secure on one of the small ends) worth it. Maybe I need more bits and the illuminated balls.

Bella won't play with her balls if they're lying around out in the open.

If you roll them just underneath the sofa, however... she will throw/launch herself onto her side and bat them around, under the sofa, until they're all out of reach :p

As for the Catit senses track, she wasn't at all interested, so I went ahead and bought the flashing balls for it. I turned a waste of £7 into a waste of £11, because she still wasn't interested in it :p

Bruce now plays fetch. He runs off to get the ball to bring it to me to throw for him :D

Bella used to :/ When I first brought her home, she would play fetch with those little foam balls. I'd bounce them off the walls of the upstairs landing, and they'd roll and bounce down the stairs. She'd chase off after them and bring them back to me :)

Fun for both of us, and good exercise for her :p But one day she stopped fetching them. Then soon after she stopped chasing after them.

"I've done this a couple times. I'm bored of it."

That, I discovered over the course of a year, is exactly what she thinks about /all/ her toys :p

Bruce brings me the ball at all times of the day and night, it's not much fun at 3am when he wants to play

Our cat only spends an hour outside most days, she goes out does her business in the neighbours garden and she's right back in.

If I lived somewhere where she had access to main roads I wouldn't let her out, she does bring back birds and mice fairly often, a few frogs as well. :D

She won't go out the front door even if left open.

This thread has been mostly a great read! And I was unaware Bengals are considered less dandery! I should find a breeder/owner nearby and see if I survive.

I honestly get no reaction to mine, and normal cat hair affects me quite badly.

Well, there's no such thing as a hypoallergenic cat, because the allergen is in the saliva. And all cats lick themselves, getting it on their fur.

Rex cats (Devon Rex, Cornish Rex, etc) are sometimes suggested for allergy sufferers, but there is no real evidence you'll be any better off with them vs any other breed.
