Just ran a 3D Mark test on my system (results below). Don't know how this rates as I'm not a gamer but any opinions welcome.

Ouch that would suck.

But one week on mine hasn't given me any problems so I guess I'll just see how it goes. It's not like I wanna strip down and return a motherboard that I like aesthetically and has been solid so far with a simple 4.5ghz overclock this week

Yea me too, I'm undecided between the 6700k (yea I know it's pricey) and the 5820k..... And now with AMD coming out with some new CPUs soon it's giving me a right headache.

Surely though the thing to do is just get a bundled build from OC that should work?

To be honest I am not worried any more. It's been running solid since I built it. It's fast and it's stable as anything and with good temps.

There is a lot of people with very stable x99 builds. Obviously some issues mentioned by many but a lot of positives mentioned by many more.

Me too, now mine is sorted and stable I am very happy that I chose X99.

Quite simply this - add me to this group. Ok my first rive was faulty.but quickly replaced and all fine and dandy since - very happy with my X99 setup.

Same here. Been running x99 2-3 months (built sometime in August). No major issues.
