A "stranger" has a key to my house. Martin and Co don't care.

Boiler doesn't work now. No hot water, and no heating.

This just gets better and better. - Anyone from the photo above know what the problem/fix could be? Contacting Martin and Co will just be useless as usual.

The Martin&Co don't care list:

- Strangers entering the property without mine or landlord/agency's consent.
- Damp and mold around the house, in the bedrooms and under the stairs.
- No heating or hot water, as boiler is broken.

Looks like the pressure is too low.

move out.
why live this way.

I moved out a couple of months ago because I had no boiler for 6 months. Kept being told it would be fixed, and I moved out.

I am getting sick of moving to different houses, I have to take time off work, it also costs money to have to keep getting a deposit up front. And moving all my stuff.

So annoying, I wish I could find a landlord/agency in Stoke-On-Trent that I could trust. Or actually live in a house with no problems, that would be a start!

It looks like it may be low pressure given the red light above the "Bar \/" and the fact the "bar" dial is in the red, so may just need a valve opened for a few seconds to let some water into the system.

However it shouldn't really be losing pressure as it's meant to be a sealed system so you may need to go round and check for any obvious leaks.

I would also try and check when it was last inspected, as it sounds like your letting agents are a bunch of chimps who are either incompetent, or just can't be bothered and neither of those would inspire me to believe they've complied with the law on servicing the boiler.

i know bud i feel your pain, but this is obviously not a good place to stay.

I wish I could just easily move again. A nice little flat would be ideal. Maybe I can sort it out again in the new year.

After reading up on the mold, apparently it can be pretty dangerous to someones health... So I might be dead before I get chance to move if Martins do not fix it at this rate.

They will probably use the same excuse with the locks and the damp. "Oh we fixed it before you moved in". And just leave it.

Haha. So a forum member works for Martins and Co? Nice prank, now fix my issues! ;) :p

Watch the second Jason Bourne film.
The scene in which he mights the other operative in his house, and then disconnects the gas, pushes a magazine into a toaster and leaves the premises.
Ensure your contents insurance is up to date, move any 'can't be lost' sentimental items out, pop off to work, and blow the crap out of the place and whoever is secretly entering your property all at once.

Gas will get fixed, damp will get fixed and nobody will enter as there won't be property, then you can move anytime you like :)

I see no drawbacks at all to this insane plot...

Move to Stafford or another nearby place? :p

I know it doesn't help the situation, but definitely look for another place - preferably with a private landlord. Our old flat was privately rented, and the landlord was brilliant. It was his house, he wanted it kept up to standard like we did. He lived 5 mins away, and would always pop over if we had a problem.

Another option for you at this point is surely to speak to the citizens advice or a legal rep as you are surely into the territory of withholding rent until satisfactory repairs are completed as at the moment it sounds like as your still paying rent and there just batting back the complaints they will continue until there hand is forced.

As above seek some advice before withholding the rent as I am not sure on any other implications but personally feels like there taking the micky

On a Glow Worm, if that led is flashing then it means low pressure, if it is not flashing then that is just the water temperature

(normal pressure is 0.8 - 1.5 bar)

(now entering guess mode)

So if it thinks the water temp is 60C then it must be firing up and heating?
Can you hear it do that?

If you download the manual for the boiler, it has a walkthrough on how to solve problems, it is a bit difficult to do that over a forum.

Move to Stafford or another nearby place? :p

Stafford is significantly more expensive for rental/purchase, and it has none of the amenities that the Potteries has.
Plus inbreeding is a massive problem here :|

As others have said. Seems like a low pressure. You may want to go round the house and bleed the radiators while you're sorting it out.

If all else fails get Gibbo to invest into a property instead of cars and rent from him. :)

I've managed to fix the boiler, no idea if it is a permanent fix. But it is working now, so I am fine with that. :)
