I don't see an issue, it took me a good 1-2 years of posting to get into the Members Market...

Once you get involved in GD, or post on the Computing discussions and so forth it really quickly adds up.

I think it should be raised to 2980 :rolleyes:

Haha anyone who gained access under the previous rules maintain there membership! It's just new rules for anyone who does not have access.
 
Can I just say for the record, I am not moaning about the 1000 post rule. It just amused me that it is such a long time away at my current post rate.

In the old days I used to post in the hardware forums but my knowledge in that area has diminished. I now post mostly in the console games section and only when I have, what I consider to be something salient to add.

I looked in speakers corner once but it looked a bit hardcore in there so i backed away quietly :)

Spec me threads in general
GPU forum
Motor forum
take a side in one of the extreme anti-xxx threads in this forum

I think its a bit silly when someone points out how long they have been a member but they post little. Being a member for a long time doesn't prove anything and being a lurker doesn't contribute anything. It's funny that a thread like this crops up every week and all these lurkers suddenly become ardent posters until thread is locked.

Choices:

1. Post more, become a member

2.Continue not to post, be satisfied with ebay/preloved/gumtree
 
I have heard that from 2016 any one who wants to gain access to the MM has got to register at 'birth'. lol
 
Adult Images/Video forum is the one you want to wait for. 10k posts and some of the material in there is right questionable.
