***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

I remember seeing the UCS Falcon built (and for sale) in the dubai mall toy shop. I was ready to buy it there and then, thinking it'll be a few hundred or so. No biggie at the time, because I was making more and had zero outgoings. Nope the real price was over a £1000 and I just couldn't justify it no matter how much I tried :(

Yeesh.

I spent so much while living there. Not because it was expensive or the exchange was bad... just because foreign currencies feel like toy money to me and i never really associate a value to it.

Nuts eh.

Just got an email saying there will be some VIP-only offer on the LEGO Store website and in-store tomorrow.

Probably won't amount to much that you can't get cheaper elsewhere, but worth a look. I have £30 in credit to spend at some point :p

i WILL get the 10179 at some point in my life, been close a couple of times on ebay over the last year.

It's really not that hard to bricklink it. I had planned to finish before Christmas but then Fallout 4.

You can see where I've substituted different coloured pieces to keep costs down. (Black 16x1 - Black L shapes - black ships masts - black aerials - blue long pins)

Here is my reply!

I know there are reports of other websites that have found a fix for the head swivel issue for the LEGO® Wall-E set no. 21303. Unfortunately, they are unofficial sites. The LEGO Group has not currently released the repair pieces/kits for that set at this time.
Because you have taken the time to write to us, your name has been added to a list, and you should be receiving the pieces/kit when we get the information back from the design team.
It would also be a good idea to occasionally check the www.LEGO.com website, because I personally think it will be posted when the parts are ready to be sent.
I am sorry about the delay, but thank you very much for writing and your patience with us as we try to resolve this issue for you.
We want to make sure we're doing a good job for you, so you’ll always find the link to a four-question survey in our emails. Please tell us how we did today:

Not the reply I got!

Dear James,

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

I’m sorry there’s a problem with your LEGO® Ideas set 21303 WALL·E.

Like you, we’re big fans of this bold little robot and we wanted to make sure that LEGO WALL·E was just as fun as the character in the film. For that reason, we gave LEGO WALL·E the ability to turn his head all the way around.

However, as we’ve since heard that some fans feel WALL·E’s head moves a little too freely, we’ve decided to take their advice and make some improvements to the set. Our designers have finished their redesign and we hope to send out new instructions and pieces in the next week or two.

If the postal address you emailed in with is not the one you'd like us to send the pieces to, could please email us back with the postal address that would be good for us to ship to. We’ll get back in touch as soon as the new solution’s available.

If you have any more questions or concerns, please contact us again. I hope you have a great day and I hope you enjoy your new 21303 Wall-E set!

Sent you a message in trust...maybe your guidance will help me:p

Couple of bit for my son for xmas due to the amazon price drop on the sets. £43 is about the cheapest give or take a couple of quid I have seen the gunship.

Holding out for a good price on the Helicarrier or another Toysrus deal. Can't make my mind up on Lego set 6873. £50 or there abouts on ebay, unopened. Only really want Iron Fist but he's £20+ on his own.
