Has anyone heard of a release date for the DisplayPort 1.2a to HDMI 2.0 adapter?

I called Club3D about 3 months ago. They said they had test units then and they worked fine, and that availability was 'very soon'.

No idea what's going on ... but if you want to find out, I suggest you call their offices (I can't be arsed).
 
They seem to have been almost ready since April/May time, surely they must actually be almost ready by now.
 
I have seen some units that will do DP to HDMI 2.0 60hz, but apparently only with 4:2:0 chroma, and not 4:2:2 or 4:4:4
 
Is it just me or should monitors without displayport be at least half to blame too? 4k 60hz monitors are expensive... They should really have a displayport input imo. I'm glad my one does even though my 980ti has hdmi (I still use display port).

Why didn't you choose a monitor with display port (or a GPU with display port if you already had the monitor)?

I think this is mostly for 4K TVs. TVs don't usually come with DisplayPort connections.
