What have you done to your car today?

Had my A6 C7 3.0 TDI for almost 2 years/15K and not put any oil in yet (a waste of the 2 litres of oil I bought!). It did have an oil change 5K ago but prior to that it was only a fraction off full on the oil level display.
The 2.0 was near the minimum-mark when I bought it so put in half a litre in August. Check oil level came onto the dash the other day so put in another half litre. Was going to check but always forget as I live on a hill!

All I've done with mine today was look at it in the brief daylight coming out of work and be impressed how it still looked nice and clean after I managed to wash it yesterday.

Won't last long but is worth it while it lasts :D

No photos sorry, didn't stay light long enough for that!

Should've got pics but fitted new bilstein shocks and eibach springs to a friends e90 320d, what an absolute pig of a job with those horrific pinch bolts on the struts

On the plus side changed his discs/pads for him too as I needed better access anyway :)

The Noble, well that got pushed out and then back in the garage :p Jobs will start coming thick and fast on that soon though :)

Fitted a new lid to my arm rest & took my glove box out to see what's what with my Heater fan. It's noisy & not running as fast as it should, Turns out there's an issue with where one of the wires goes into the unit, Poke it a bit & heater comes on full bore. Doesn't seem to be an easy fix/bodge so I'll get a 2nd hand unit & swap it out. We have a great 2nd hand VW/Audi place right near the Ricoh center/Cov Football ground Shouldn't cost me more than 20 quid.

Was up at 5am Saturday & the motor was covered in snow & it fired up instantly, Nice to have a Winter test before winter kicks in. Been down to my grandkids twice in it now & it's lovely on the Motorway, drives mint & gives brilliant MPG.

Sounds like a good time to fix heater blowers 4T5 with the outdoor temp dropping recently :D

Might start a separate thread and it probably doesn't quite fit in here, but I've just about finished with an old kitchen the in laws were stripping out. Fresh paint all over and offcuts of their new kitchen surface means my new workshop area is almost ready :D

Spent 3 mins defrosting the door to get in, then flat battery. Cold snap has killed it off, it began showing sings of poor starting last week.

Alternator is working fine, battery showed only 12.4V after my 20 minute drive to work. New Bosch battery ordered :)

-Jump leads worth their weight in gold today!

Will be giving the door seals a good coating of that pfledge stuff.

Fitted said battery on lunch break in work :D

Booked it in for a new windscreen.

Got in this morning and found this:

Looks like the culprit was a small chip out of my line of vision, coupled with the colder temperatures - I haven't driven the car since Monday and it certainly wasn't there then.

Appointment is next Thursday. Should be OK to drive in the meantime shouldn't it?
I'm off work for a couple of weeks anyway, but was hoping to get out for a drive at the weekend.

The last time I had damage like that on the MX5, Autoglass said that it should still be safe to drive due to windscreens being laminated glass. Wouldn't have thought it would generate much police interest, would welcome opinions from any resident officers though.

Regardless, the car can sit on the drive in the meantime, it's no biggy. Just hope it doesn't rain on the day of the repair.

When will they be fitted and good to go?

A days before Xmas, can't wait!

I'm running them slightly low initially (820hp-ish) while I sort out the money for an uprated gearbox (in the Summer/Autumn) then it'll be able to run full boost and hit 920-940hp.

You'll be fine from a safety perspective, as you said laminated glass so the worst the will really happen is the crack working its way across the screen.

As far as the Police, don't take my word as gospel but AFAIK worst case scenario is a VDRS giving you 14 days to get it sorted.

I'm yet to replace a GT86/BRZ

Got a 2nd hand fan & motor for £18inc, Took about 5 mins to fit & put the glove box back in, Fan/Blower works perfect now.
