** POTENTIALLY THE BEST GAMING MONITORS YET!! ** Acer 34" Ultra-wides

No not yet, check the Acer forums out for the latest news on them. Acer have confirmed they are looking into a few of the issues but I am not sure if there is an update on how that's going at the moment.

Thanks, think I'll steer clear and wait on the ASUS. Any news on that btw?

I only ever have very faint scan lines on mine in the nvidia demo, no matter how hard I try in any game at any fps I can't get them to show up, so who cares. The Asus won't be without problems you say?....sign me up.

If scanlines are showing in Pendulum they must be there in games as well.Probably its just very hard to see them.

My concern being it might get worse as time goes by in which case being left which no soultion at hand is troublesome.Unless it is only matter of time before Acer finds way to fix this.

Scanlines is really the only thing that worries me.

Not sure about hard to see, I've put my face 2 inches from the screen on a dark and light background and nothing, if you look on the Acer forum it seems to be a problem at only 50/40fps or less but even when I underclock my gpu so I can see these kind of fps, still nothing and I really wanted to find a problem with this 1k monitor before my 14 days end.

Can anyone with this monitor view this page and let me know if they get a wine coming off there screen please. Only does it when full screen and if I highlight enough of it, the noise goes away.

Played around with lost of settings and I cant get rid of it. Only thing I can do is if I change the refresh rate of the screen to 30hz it changes tone slightly. Guess I have got a slightly messed up screen in the end. Thought I had solved it by muting the internal speakers :(
I have a Freesync version.

Edit: Just uploaded a crapy video here http://community.acer.com/t5/Predat...ad-ATTN-Acer/m-p/398470/highlight/false#M2134, turn you sound up and you can hear it. Phone didn't pick it up to well and made my PC fans far nosier then they should be. I would also recommend people keep an eye on that topic if you are interested in the Free sync version in case this is an issue with the design or a select number of units.

I just tried that web page and no coil whine for me

In my case I can see them also while gaming on light blue or gray color in upper left corner. It does not matter what fps I am running.Either 40 fps or 100 fps.It is really faint but it is there.I have looked on the Acer forum.Scanlines appear when G-Sync is on.They disappear instantly when switched off. That is why on Acer forum people concluded it is related to G-Sync module.

The scan lines occurred with almost every game I tried. Interestingly they ONLY occurred with g-sync on, at 90-100hz range and at the btm 3rd of the screen. It was more like a flicker, but REALLY obvious and distracting, especially when testing on Alien Isolation. It might have been a driver issue, but with all the other issues online, I just didn't get that warm fuzzy feeling.
