I'm interested in buying a write off bike, to keep spare parts for my bike.
The bike has less than 500miles and had a front collision...
The damage is basically forks, mud guard, front panels, headlight, front wheel and maybe chassis.
Engine, tyres, electrics and most all other parts are intact.
He is a private seller, doesn't don't know if it is classed in any category, his insurance gave the bike back to him with both keys, he is the registered keeper of the bike and the claim is sorted with the insurance. (that is what he said)
What kind of documents should I ask him to make sure the bike can be sold to me? I'm asking because I don't know how it work write offs and insurance claims.
