I thought they announce Horizons was 64-bit Only and the base game is remaining 32-bit.

The game updated earlier and renamed the game "Elite:dangerous (32BIT)

i will try and find the post but the forums are very slow right now.

lol infact read the patch notes i posted above it says it there -

Added Vive support
Did we mention that we have the 64 bit client now available?!

-I like flying and flying around in Flight Simulator making my own goals
-I like the 'boring bits' of flight simulator like taxing and refueling...
-I like space
-I like RPGs where I make my own story

-I have never got into spaceship combat game before (and I've tried X3 2.0 or 3.0 or something and Freespace 2 with overhaul mod).
-I will be using a 360 pad and keyboard.

Sure get the base game on on steam for £9.89 until tomorrow, should keep you happy for a while.

It's definately better than X2/3, but that isn't saying a great deal .

Yes, sounds right up your street. One minus that I can see though is the 'story/missions' is/are very shallow at the moment, but you sound like you want to use your own imagination which is what we all do and we all LOVE the game
