***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

Does anyone know where i can get bulk packs of mini figures that don't cost a ridiculous amount of money? Its a hassle/expensive trying to buy them separately but if i could get a big pack of say random city mini figures that would be awesome. :)

Came in the post today, glad I managed to pick one up before it got retired. Should have done it ages ago :o

Also ordered the parts for a custom stand for the Tydirium Shuttle I'm getting for Xmas :D

Ah, that explains why it's been out of stock for last couple of weeks, didn't realise it was being retired. Did it say that on the main Lego site, I don't remember seeing it?

If it's the same bits I got today that isn't the fix for the rotating head issue, it's the fix for the neck issue that the US Wall-E had.

They haven't seen out the parts for the rotation issue yet.

Yeah same here, I got parts I already have.

It's been really badly handled by Lego CS IMO.

I think it went "call for availability" >>> "out of stock" >>> "retired product".

So I decided to give CS a call this morning, the fix is hitting Europe now, trials of the fix were out in Germany, but should be hitting people who need the fix over the next few weeks.

Is digital designer a free program?

Yes - http://ldd.lego.com/en-gb/

Very handy for this type of thing. Basically build whatever you want in 3D and it can generate step-by-step building instructions and a parts list, just like a proper Lego building guide :)

I did some 8-bit Mario characters this way.

Note I had to get a few Technic parts for the stand via eBay, but most of them were standard from the Lego Pick a Brick section. Bricklink would be even cheaper but probably more hassle. Cost me around £14 in all.

Picked up my Doctor Who ideas set today. Surprised no one has mentioned it, seeing as it was released on Tuesday. Hopefully I'll find some time this weekend to build it.

Got a few Lego advent calendars from recent years, sat in the loft. I see they can still fetch £10/20 on Ebay used. Haven't got anywhere to display them or don't know what to do with them otherwise. Worth selling or keeping?
