Building a new system and I'm looking for some advice/recommendations on a new card that I can use with dual 4k monitors (will probably daisy chain them so only 1DP will be needed)

I won't be gaming on the system at all, it will be used for post-producing work (after effect, premiere, photoshop etc etc)

Budget is around £200-250... might be able to go higher, but it will depend on what the rest of the system costs

not sure a single card can drive 2 4k monitors
you may need 2 cards or 1 card and onboard igpu

highend nvidias
Display Support:
5120x3200Maximum Digital Resolution2
2048x1536Maximum VGA Resolution
4 displays
5120x3200 at 60Hz with dual DisplayPort connectors.

are you sure on that? as I have seen in a couple of places

"With DisplayPort 1.2, you can daisy-chain two monitors side by side by connecting via the DP-in and DP-out ports, eliminating the need to link every one of your monitors to the PC and reducing cable clutter."

I've never done it myself... just going off what I've read, so just want to make sure

You can't daisy chain 4k monitors with DP 1.2 or lower, there isn't enough bandwidth.

Yes

You can daisy chain QHD (2x) or 1080p (4x) or lower (5x)

But not 4k...until DP 1.3 that is.

thats a bit of false advertising then from Dell... it was their 27" 4k monitors I was planning on getting.

it even says on their page "With DisplayPort 1.2, you can daisy-chain two monitors side by side by connecting via the DP-in and DP-out ports, eliminating the need to link every one of your monitors to the PC and reducing cable clutter."

ok, far enough it doesn't say that you get 4k resoultion from it, but seeing as they are selling it as a 4k monitor and doesn't say that your can't get 4k when daisy chaining, I call it false advertising!
