Maybe, but unlike stuff like the Millennium Falcon, UCS Shuttle etc. it seems to have been in production for a lot longer, so there will be more sets "out there". Not sure how unique the minifigs you get with it are, but if they are set-specific and due to the amount of them, that might go a long way to making the price creep up.
Normally I get an itch when a big set approaches retirement, but to be honest I've never really been a fan of this particular Death Star model. I much prefer 10143.
I agree it has been out for a long time. But I do think it will double or even treble in price.
UCS Millennium Falcon prices, I very much doubt also.
