I'm not sure there is a Christian group shooting up disabled daycare centres, bombing marathons, murdering beach goers, killing cafe hostages, beheading soldiers, massacring cartoonists or exploding at sports stadiums is there?? Might have missed it.

Have a read about what some of the Christian fundamentalist groups in the U.S. have done in the past*, and what is happening in Africa etc with Christian groups.

It doesn't tend to get as much press largely because they're disorganised so rather than one group claiming the credit for everything it's dozens of small groups.


*Shooting up the local family planning and abortion clinics seems a popular pastime for "right to life" groups that often claim they're following the bible or are basing their arguments on the bible (although that has dropped down a bit in the last few years, probably since the FBI and American law enforcement cracked down more on any potential terrorist group).

Although it is quite clear why this thread will often descend into a Muslim bashing thread, can we try and avoid doing that as that is not the intention here. I for one think it is a bigoted notion. Go debate the semantics of religion elsewhere, it's futile anyway.
