*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

You may already know, but just in case you don't. You can transfer harrowed gear from other characters to complete the set. It still counts, even if that character can't wear it. Then you can get the shader from the kiosk. Handy, because I've never unlocked the helmet for my hunter, but have on my titan.

Cheers buddy, but dont have a harrowed helmet all yet. Good to know though thanks :)

Awesome, I'll do that tomorrow :)

Finally; 1x 320 helm and 1x 320 mark. Rather hoped for some dulicates by now mind, espcially after grinding most of Sunday at Rank 3. Just wondering now what to do with the 320 helm, put it into an exotic helm or wait until I finally get a Harrowed helm drop.

I'm thinking the latter, as I can still wear the racing 320 helm to raid in the meantime. Plus, with Oryx challenge coming on Tuesday who knows what goodies we'll get.

I've been thinking what bungie could do to keep this game going.....

They should release challenge mode raid, include all challenge modes sections without a check points system.

320 to start the event (increase max light level to 340)

Every sections will be rng between 320 to 330, 340 light items on final boss only

Could be fun? Be really easy to create, already done the work.

Done enough King's Fall, or will have once we've beaten Oryx challenge....need a decent new content drop in the new year.

Sparrow racing is a nice little change though, drops are great. Got 3x 320 helms and 4 exotics in a few races yesterday :) Just need some 320 class items now....

TBH I am more excited by the fact that Pigtails is now decked out in full Pink Armour, perfectly matching her pink Sparrow.... :D

I haven't hit rank 3 yet (spending too much time on Xenoblade & just started JC3) but should hit it this week.

320 stuff really easy now, does make sense to increase to around 340

or another idea

buy a raid challenge mode book vol 1 (1000 Silver)

Need to do the following within a raid:

kill 500 hive,vex,taken
100 elites
Complete each raid within a time frame.

rewards can be vault of glass armor includes new light system.

Everyone will enjoy it?

EDIT: do the same thing with weapons.

Dredd, you sadist

i do enjoy bloodborne :D

In all seriousness, I think the sudden availability of 320 gear from challenges, trials, IB and SRL all mean one thing: that the supposed new content in Q1 2016 will see light level raised. They'll likely allow people to enjoy being 318-320 level for a month or two then raise the bar again.

I'd love something centred around the Cabal, rather than Vex. Imagine some of the Cabal ultras, proper bullet sponges even more so than Mr. Golgoroth :)

i agree, they always flood high end stuff then increase max light limit....

i can see them doing my stuff. really easy to create, will gives old content life again.

Cabal will be destiny v2, can't see that.

Think they've said in recent news updates that there's going to be one smaller SRL style event in January-ish, and after that a more substantial expansion which I would assume will contain a new raid. No way they can string out King's Fall that long, even with more challenges/light level, it's already getting a bit tedious.

Getting? Destiny got tedious for me weeks ago, I've not played it for about a month and I'm not missing it currently. The challenge mode and SRL isn't enough to pull me back in currently. The constant grind eventually wore me down and I'm enjoying my break away from the game. I know I'm probably missing out on some decent loot, but all 3 of my characters are 310 or thereabouts and I don't see the need to grind for a few light levels when I'm high enough to do pretty much everything I might want to do.

That being said, I'm sure I'll get pulled back at some point, possibly when I've finished with Fallout, MGS5, Tomb Raider and the Uncharted Collection. I've had a ton of great times with Destiny, so I'm sure I'll be back eventually.

I don't feel burned out, I've played a lot less since TTK came out. Prior to that I had 3 maxed characters, but I've only run my titan, and my hunter a bit when I had extra game time. One raid night a week and a few strikes/sparrow races here and there.

I really like King's Fall, and the challenges have been interesting......but what I need to keep playing in the new year is a fresh raid.

Especially if The Division shapes up as well as the alpha feedback indicates....could be bye bye Destiny for me!

Destiny has a real content issue, the raid once you nail it is easy, challenges have been boring too be honest, not had a single one where we had to struggle and sweat, the loot is good but its still boring. And no no big update till mid/late 2016 is a real nail in the coffin I feel.

Also since the last update Crucible has been laggier then ever, its straight up buggy. Yesterday I died in trials without even being hit, I sniped a dude then went behind cover, next second I'm just down, no one hit me/killed me I just died. We had people literally going invisible on the game, the weirdest was in 1 game a bubble appeared, no one had no clue, both sides where just confused.

Destiny has always had a content issue, but they've had expansions to keep it fresh for a couple of months. Now they aren't planning any until Destiny 2, they're really going to struggle to keep hold of the players

If they increase light level from 320 to 340, everyone will want to hit max light. Just needs to add another hard mode level and reward to a event currently in game.

SLR only got two tracks, but gives good rewards and it's working.

But would 340 matter if its not something knew, or orxy fight just needs more light now :/. I think challenge mode for me at least has been bad, its not challenging, it was easy enough for me too do it 6-10 times a week while helping others fill numbers, not once did we have too give up.

I think they really need a DLC, some events like SLR won't bring a lot of people back, and if they do how long will they stay for. From now till Destiny 2 is a long time for people too find a new addiction, and it will be hard too come back unless the new game has major issues.

If they managed to rejig Vault of Glass to be a 300/ 320 light activity with Year 2 Vex armour and weaponry I think a lot of people would be very happy indeed.

PoE needs some attention too

A Year 2 VoG with Year 2 Fatebringer and Vision of Confluence as rewards would bring me back, absolutely.

Year 2 Crota would be interesting as a diversion, but I'd still end up soloing it, so it'd lose appeal quickly.
