**** The Official Google Pixel C Thread ****

If I'd not bought a Z4 tablet back in June I'd probably be going for one of these... Faults aside they still look damn nice imo

Also - US$499 for the 32 GB version and US$599 for the 64 GB

Thanks for that.

Just had a chat with Google support and they are aware of the issue but couldn't give an answer as to which price is correct, they're waiting on information from their "specialist team" apparently.

They were very unhelpful, but they did say they would get back to me so we will see.

Can't you just cancel it and order it at the lower price?

Sort of suggests chrome as an OS is going to be ditched really doesn't it. What does chrome OS do which makes you fell that way?

Although still behind Windows and OSX, Chrome OS feels like a desktop OS far more than Android due to the UI. And the Pixel C seems to be aimed for productivity, which Android doesn't feel right to use as it lacks things like multi windows.

It's already been shipped, but yes I could cancel it and reorder.

Then again I can always just send it back after trying it for a few days for a full refund which is kind of of what I feel like doing now, Google's support staff are useless.

Also read you can return orders up-to the 22 January for tablets ordered over the Christmas period, that might be the US only, I really don't know.

Google's support staff weren't able to answer that one either.

I am having the same conversation at the moment. Seem kinda helpful but not really clued up on the matter.
Was via online chat first and now into an email conversation.

See what they do - don't want the hassle of having to send back (now its been shipped) and get another delivered, just want the difference back.

I've spoken to two people who promised to get back to me but neither did today.

They're still waiting for a "specialist team" to give them answers.

Oh well, might receive the tablet tomorrow so looking forward to that at least. :D

EDIT: Tablet arrived this morning just before leaving for work. Did not have long to mess round with it but the build quality is great, also thinner and lighter than I was expecting.

Received mine today. Not had much time to play as I was late home from London.but first impressions are good. Like it a lot.

I bought a 32gig one as a present for someone to replace a first gen nexus 7. She better like it........ :)

Had it out the box and it does feel like quality.

Just in case anyone else overpaid buying it straight away:

"Thank you for your recent order from the Google Store.

During checkout it appears you were charged an additional £70 on top of what we had originally intended the Pixel C to be priced at for your region. We have gone ahead and applied a refund for this amount back to the original payment method used for this purchase. This refund may take a few days to reflect with your financial institution."
