Acer XF270HU

Would like to know this as well, there was a thread about it, but it soon died.

I'm hoping to purchase it soon, as it looks like the perfect monitor but there is no info on it!
 
Hope the quality control is better on this although I doubt it. Also it's a shame the range doesn't go down to 30hz I know it isn't much difference when trying to push 144hz but some games do like to dip in FPS. Might be worth picking up when or if QC is decent.
 
I was close to buying this, but I found it to be too expensive considering the QC problems. Nearly every person I seen online who got one has a yellow glow or some form of backlight bleed.

Don't really fancy getting rid of my 4K panel which is perfectly fine to go play games with Acer and the retailer to get what should be sold as a standard. Been through that before, no thanks.

Had this been a Dell, I would have picked it up instantly.

I think a lot of people are happy buying sub standard stuff so manufacturers just save on costs and continue this practice. Look at the other Acer thread, people spending a grand and getting poor panels.

Buying a monitor should not be like playing the lottery.

Couldn't agree more, seeing the thread about this monitor on overclock.net and the £1k acer ultrawides here has been dissapointing.

It's a shame because this seems just the monitor I've been holding out for, I'd be more than willing to spend money on one if they could promise me a panel that wasn't messed up.

I agree I will not be buying anything that hasn't been well done in the quality department. Everything these days is getting so the quality is getting lapse, I don't mind so much when buying something extra cheap but when spending huge amounts like this I want nothing to be left short!

I'm just gonna wait for the UHD 144hz monitors to start arriving some time at the end of next of 2016/2017, maybe Dell or somebody with decent quality will release something.

I've seen it online for £370, so a fair bit cheaper than the competition. I plan to buy 2 and only keep the better one.

QC seems poor for all brands at the moment, except maybe dell, though I don't see them releasing anything similar to this in the next 6 months.
 
Does anyone know realistically when QC on these panels will increase? The risk of spending £500 on a dud just seems too high right now.

In stock in 3-4 days. Not too long.

Sure if you get a dud, you can return it and get a new one. Only disadvantage is that it might take a couple weeks to get a quality monitor. I'm considering getting 2 to increase my chances first time, then return the worse one.
 
Have just placed an order for 2 'XF270HU' monitors :D



Will update this post when they arrive, let me know if there is anything you want to me test?
