ya this is what i got my acer x34 for... i bought horizons tho not just ED

x52 pro is outa stock everywhere so gone for the x55.. will be here in an hour then im sinking my 2 weeks off work into this :D

cant wait!

Badboy get a sweetfx profile or a GEMFX profile and it makes the game look even better.. plus theres a few ini tweaks aswell to improve planet textures and galaxy background.. makes a really nice difference... also changing the hud colours is a nice little tweak, orange is poo tbh nice blue in there is a lot better!

That was me last Christmas, spent my entire holidays playing Elite and watching sports: it was so much fun, I think I'll do the same this year!

x55 looks good... but gotta have my tablet infront of me to remember all the binds :( gonna take a while to get used to them all but think ive set them up pretty nice now!

Ha! I know right? It's like well, I'm still 300,000km away, I'll just increase my spee....TOO MUCH!!

Had an Icarus moment and flew too close to a sun. Temps were idle at 60 and every time I tried to jump it would shoot up to like 105-110, but I had no choice in the end but the risk payed off! Only had 1% damage.

No idea what I'm doing :p . Tried doing a few missions delivering x to y, but then saw a mission to go kill some random guy with a 70k reward. Couldn't for the life of me find him at all in the system. :o

That's what I am doing too. Transport X to Y. Also managed to kill a wanted person and claim the bounty. And then also pickup some debris (illegal explosives) and sell them on the black market

Grab PowerGrid for your pc & tablet and use one of the many shortcut profiles that's available for ED.

OMG I've just sunk an entire day into this lol... such a steep learning curve. But now I have 500k.

I found that upgrading my wee ship with a 13Ly FDL drive worked wonders. It gave me access to way more systems for missions
 
It's funny how you progress through the game. You always want more cash, but the number of zeroes changes.

I remember the feeling of "woohoo" when I bought my cobra, and then "yay" when I got an asp.

Now sitting in an Anaconda with mostly C rated stuff making 500k+ profit on each leg of my trade route. Downside is that the A rated power plant is over 100million credits !

Quite fancy trying out the fer-de-lance at some point as well. Anybody had one ? What do you make of it post-buff ?
 
Same bb.. Spent all day setting up my hotas and just flying around learning my keys..

Think ive done 2 missions or so...
