*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

Should just be able to quickly grind too 25 and I think the taken king quests start there. From 25-40 its not too bad maybe 4-5hours work. But the real grind starts at 25, which will consist off story missions till you hit 240light then just spamming strikes and maybe court of orxy.

Thanks for the help. Once I get to around level 25 is it possible to do expansion I & II missions first before tackling TTK? The digital download copy I bought from ps store says expansions I & II are included so I am guessing I can do those storylines before jumping into TTK?

I have now for the spark upgrade in my inventory. Had to collect it from the post master first :) Now I just need to get grinding to level up!

Should be able to do them right away. Do you have any quests with Eris mor, or do you have the Reef included. Also I'm not 100% sure but I think I had too download some of my addons. I went too my game library and it should same something like Destiny (3 addons) and you can download it somehow.

I have three add ins listed. Season pass. TTK and some weapons bundle. All three are listed as installed. Even when I remove the base game they remain "installed".

I have tried resetting my licences and that hasn't changed anything either. Don't seem to have any of the expansion missions as far as I can see. Perhaps the ps store are mistaken that the first two expansions are included with the version I bought?

Still knackered? Can't just be wonky net routing they must have messed something up.

I say no more Destiny but I would like to tick off the lighthouse once, me oweo and Greboth managed 8-0 before two losses a few times. If it was fair I'd be up for doing it sometime but the game seems to be broken ATM.

nothing wrong with the game.

played plenty of games today even went to the lighthouse myself and saw nothing wrong with it apart from 1 guy who was running into walls and taking zero damage but that was 1 round only.

mate was running blade dance too and he never had any issue getting kills either.

year 2 flawless is like hard mode raid and year 1 flawless being normal mode raid. you usually need to beat at least 2 solid teams now where the average k/d is 1.5+. if you get unlucky you may be matched up with a team averaging 2.0+ k/d.

also this weeks map isn't that good. inside suits shotgunners. outside suits everyone else. so if you see the other team using shotguns don't go inside, stay outdoors and double nade or snipe them. you need to stick close by each other for focused fire but not too close for nades. a lot of trading on this weeks map with it being very close fighting.

the meta has changed to priming with nades and finishing off with primary. i preferred thorn tbh. the firebolt nade basically is thorn now but only 1 subclass can use it. it needs nerfing.

It's not clear what exactly your expecting, but you don't really play it in a completely linear way and the progress isn't fixed to a set path of vanilla, I,II,TTK - just by following the story completing missions and quests you will eventually of played all the expansions regardless of the order/path you choose.

You need to unlock the expansions by playing certain story missions.

You cannot for instance start a brand new character and jump straight into poe, crota or oryx raid.

All missions have rank/light limitations.

Sometimes installations can get messed up. You should delete the game. Install vanilla only after vanilla is installed then download the season pass then after that is installed download ttk. Also after each part downloads and installs boot the game up. Let it start up fully then quit the application before downloading the next part.

I had issues with some game cannot remember which one where I was downloading both the base game plus an add on and the add on installed first after that the base game wouldn't install it was frozen on installing forever when I started it up.

I'm really just after continuity of story. I was under the impression TTK is an addition to the dark below storyline?

Seems like it makes sense to do the previous expansions in order to maintain that continuity. I accept that I can pick and choose where I go but in the main storyline there was an element of linearity. If the expansions do not have that then that is no problem. I will be selective with what levels I play.

I don't have the option. All 3 add ons remain installed even after I remove the main game. I have no option to delete them as they are not listed in installed apps.

I think has UniQ has pointed out, I am quite a low level and will probably see some changes once I level up.

Yea but that can be sorted. Going to do a couple of NM KF later today purely for some low 300's to infuse into it. Have to hope for Oryx challenge next week to get some 320 primaries on HM.

Does using a 280/290 primary really matter when overall your around 310 light anyway? Bit confused how the light works when it comes to damage/defence, I have lots of primary exotics ranging from 280 to 317 although I am always minimum 305 light.

Does the damage output really change significantly? So for example would a 314 weapon do a significant amount more damage than a 290 version of the same weapon when your overall light level is the same (depending on armor equipped)?

Sucks that it's at 280 rather than 300+, I'm currently at 317 light and it would be nice to get a 310 Mida but I don't hold out much hope for that happening as RNG sucks for me. This weeks nf gave me FA really, ran a HM raid last night and from WP I got some decent heavy drops which I infused into my sleeper. Would like some decent primary drops so I can get my Tom up to 310+.

It makes a difference yes. Light level determines if you get a penalty against the target, it doesn't increase damage.

Thanks, recently acquired Red Death and Bad Juju which are both sitting around the 290 area, I wasn't going to bother infusing considering I am around 305 light with either equipped, may well do now with Iron Banner around the corner :D

There's a thread on reddit showing you how for instance a 315 character with a 280 primary differs from say a 315 character with a 315 primary.

In certain instances it does the same damage in others less.

Also shows a low level character with a high primary for comparison.

It's stupid how it all works now. I preferred the old way of levelling armour only. They are making less content and increasing the grind to keep you playing.

Very clever, its working every Tuesday people go online to get the same item with a higher number :)

Tempted to pick up the collectors edition in the sale for £30 (foreign store) just for the exotic class items :x

WTF you joking? £10 for 1 class item, 1 dance move, 1 shader ?

they should add weapon skins for sale next
