I know it amazes me people are now using me to back up their arguments...
I mean just have your opinions....
I have mine...people have theirs...
It's a very odd reaction...surely they would be using other people who don't like it aswell?
People are entitled to their opinions.
Disliking TFA has nothing to do with "being cool". I genuinely don't get how you'd think that when, if this thread is anything to go by, disliking TFA makes you a social pariah
Yes, you got me. easyrider, myself and that other guy are all the same person. When you think about it, it's the only plausible explanation. How could 3 people separately and independently come to the conclusion that TFA isn't amazing? Inconceivable!

. C64 is me aswell....
I rated it 5/10 and that was after treating the film as a mindless piece of fluff. So I can understand the 3/10 rating if you couldn't even tolerate watching it.

I really don't care, if you sat me down and asked me questions about Star Wars I would come last in the quiz.
TFA was about Aliens having a go at each other and I enjoyed it.
I thought Finn was a bit crap and the Death Star got blown up too easily but it didn't spoil it.
It will never be as good as the perfect Independence Day but I wasn't expecting it.

The excuses people come up with.
It's a kid's film.
The OT had plot holes too.
It's better than the prequels.
None of that excuses it from being as uninspired, poorly written and riddled with holes as it was.
Fwiw, I didn't hate it or anything, but I was left thinking "Is that really the best you could come up with?".
Quite a few guys here seem to think that it being a great film is the default opinion (because they like it) and any opinion that doesn't share that sentiment is either ruining it for others or trolling.
Notice the 'we' statement that keeps popping up, like this is an inclusive thread meant for appreciation only?
Those guys seem very eager to criticise anyone who posts a negative opinion of the film and convince them that their opinion is wrong - or that there must be something wrong with them - but when it's the other way round, it's just trolling apparently.

Besides I think the prequals feel more star warsy than TFA. I also think Revenge of the Sith is still the best star wars movie out of all of them.
He created two of his own threads to preach in, and then when they backfired tried to claim some moral high ground by requesting they got closed because "there were too many threads"!
He's declared he moved on from this whole discussion... Yet is still here.
