***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

Prepare to be dissapointed.

Upcoming UCS

75098: Assault on Hoth
75144: Snowspeeder
75159: The Death Star

Has any other UCS ever been released? This says yes, but I don't think the others are UCS

Snowspeeder, I'll be getting that when its released. But why do another one? There was one released in 2004, I'd prefere if they did something new/not done before.

I've got a few of the Star Wars UCS sets from years ago

7181 TIE Interceptor (2000)
7191 X-wing Fighter (2000)
10019 Rebel Blockade Runner (2001)

I liked the idea of them at first but when realising Lego were going to keep producing these sets I soon realised I wouldn't have the storage or wallet capacity to get them all. :p

I was given a small technic set from my kids for Christmas, the 42036 street bike. Looking forward to putting this one together as I missed out on the older 42007 when it was going cheap.

Anyone else a fan of the Creator Creatures sets? I think they are fantastic little builds for the price, now got the Red Creatures to go with my Rainforest Animals...

Anyone else find fitting the front wings on the Tumbler really tricky and not solid? I've got them on after much fettling but the fit isn't great. For such big pieces thare are minimal contact point for them to connect to.

Also found another piece missing from my Tumbler set so another order raised for the missing bit. I can carry on though luckily and just fit it when the part turns up. Loving the build so far apart from when picking the Tumbler up to add another bit it feels really fragile and bits come off which is annoying!

Is it really common for pieces to be missing from Lego sets?

Surely the pieces are selected and picked up by a machine, so cant be human error, set X machine to pick up Y amount of pieces?

It's not common no. I've only had 1 piece missing ever and I've got quite a few sets.

They are good at sorting it out, although postage times can be pretty poor.

I've had one piece missing from my F1 technics set from years back. They did send replacement but I had to put the whole thing on hold until then.

Nah it's not common, we have around 50-60 sets (at a guess) and have had missing/broken pieces on 4 or so sets. Worst was the Antman set it had a few pieces missing and Jabbas palace was missing a whole bag so we had to return the whole thing.

I have found the CS to be excellent, I got credit too for jabbas palace being missing so much.

I think I have probably only been missing pieces in a 2 or 3 sets out of 30/40.

Red 5 was missing one but thankfully it was external so not too irritating.

I spent a while getting pretty angry when I thought a huge number of pieces were missing, turns out there were multiple bags with the same number and I had left one in the box...

Trouble with building and drinking lots of whisky at the same time and to be fair this was my first set for over 15 years.

I started listing out all the missing parts using their form before I gave up in anger and sent an email saying I was missing over 30 pieces. To be fair the customer service was fantastic, they phoned me the very next day saying they would replace the full set. I was fairly embarrassed when I realised my mistake but the CS woman found it fairly funny and was happy I was happy :)
