Can anyone rate the SanDisk Ultra II?

I use the lowest end SSD that sandisk make - the SSD Plus 120GB.

Same as all other SSDs I have used. Super fast and not failed.

Wouldn't think there is anything wrong with the Ultra II

That is indeed a good deal. That's about what I payed for my 120gb Corsair Force3, It's amazing how fast they are dropping in price. I wonder if it's because the sata3 bus has been saturated for so long the only thing to focus on has been cost efficiency. Sata express looks like a fail to me. M.2 looks like the only real option for performance drives (OS, editing etc). Sata3 is still great for normal storage and mid range SSDs. It seems correct that OS and storage take different paths from this point on.

Picked up one of the 960GB Sandisks as well a few weeks ago on that deal. Its my new games drive :)

I've installed a few SSD PLUS disks from SanDisk and not had issues. Not as quick as my personal Samsung however but from a conventional hard drive massive improvement

I had a 480GB Ultra II fail on me after 3 weeks use, needed a re-image then failed again a week later.
I umm'd and ahh'd a bit thinking money back or try another one and decided to do an exchange so I'm waiting for the new one to arrive now.
The controller on that drive is used on tons of other drives too so I'm hoping I just had a bit of bad luck.

Saw that deal. £145 is cracking price for 1TB.

Was a great deal... I picked up two :D

Same here:)
Not noticing any difference from my old samsung evo tbh

Really? I find them much closer to Kingston speeds than Samsung.

Not that that is bad or anything... just they're noticeably slower in the random writes department... than even my 256GB Samsung 830.

I had a Crucial fail on me as well but that was a good three years ago.

I've had two OCZs fail on me... a while ago too... Vertex 2 era... haven't had one drop since then.
