I always thought the numbering gives it away, but then they changed it and they even used to put the wording "Ultimate Collectors Series" on the box, but not anymore.

I think the only way to tell is if it has that Stand with the plate, all the UCS seems to have it.

they still do that, there's a gold ucs 'seal' on the front of the TIE

I always thought the sales on the lego site are rubbish, cos you are able to get better prices on other site but I'm hoping I'm wrong.

What do you guys mean by "a good build"?

Just wondering, for me is when building something; it all seems innocuous but when you put it together all of the sudden you realise that's how that part opens up and clever joints and mechanics.

The ewok village i would class as a play set for children rather than a UCS, a bit like the death star. Only because other UCS are what i class as display pieces.

There's a lot to it, more than you realise and it's great discovering all the little bits and bats.

Building the pushrod front suspension layout, and the combined engine, gearbox and rear suspension structure of the F1 racer that then bolts to the chassis just like real F1 cars was one of my favourite builds.

Oddly, the 24 Hour Race car that replaced it as a set was one of my least favourite builds.
