Plus more girls -

Or you know being relativly sane seems to help :D. Money in the right hands won't go amiss ;).

Congrats :).

It's bad I've been here so much I actually recognise names now .

Perhaps I misunderstood your post but you seemed to be painting RTMing in a bad light when in fact it aids the mods with those exact tasks.

I agree with RTM'ing offensive posts and the like. The only problem I find with RTM'ing is people have completely different sensitivity levels. What might be unacceptable for one person could be completely acceptable to 90%+ of the forum. I would assume though that mods are intelligent enough to know when people are just being pedantic and over-sensitive.

Just because something is reported, doesn't necessarily mean that we do anything about it. We still make that judgement call.

Well, RTMing doesn't instantly mean a post will be removed. As you say, the team will look at the posts in question and make a judgement call. RTMing is very useful though as the mods can't read every single post.

edit: Beaten :p

At the end of the day, the mods can't read all the posts made on the forum. You can't complain about something not being done about a post if you haven't RTM'd it and made sure that we've at least looked at it.

Indirectly though, what you're saying is people with an easy going nature are less likely to be appointed as they won't take offence to as many posts as others may and therefore won't RTM as many, if any at all.

Not always - a lot of my RTMs in the past have been things like spam threads or noticing when arguments were starting to brew.

I'm not sure if I ever RTM'd a post where I felt someone had attacked me and I guess that someone that prolifically did so would be less likely to be appointed. I'm still quite new to the mod team though so don't quote me :p

It's not about being offended, it's about following the rules. Zefan got promoted pretty much on checking sig sizes :p
