Question: can mods bang other mods?
Why is it so difficult for people to become mods or dons then? Is it like an old girls club or something.
If you're active on the forum, RTM posts and your behaviour is good, you have a pretty good chance at being offered the position.
I'm not sure you understand what the mod team's job is.
Perhaps I misunderstood your post but you seemed to be painting RTMing in a bad light when in fact it aids the mods with those exact tasks.
I agree with RTM'ing offensive posts and the like. The only problem I find with RTM'ing is people have completely different sensitivity levels. What might be unacceptable for one person could be completely acceptable to 90%+ of the forum. I would assume though that mods are intelligent enough to know when people are just being pedantic and over-sensitive.

Indirectly though, what you're saying is people with an easy going nature are less likely to be appointed as they won't take offence to as many posts as others may and therefore won't RTM as many, if any at all.
It's not about being offended, it's about following the rules. Zefan got promoted pretty much on checking sig sizes![]()
