Afternoon all.
Myself and my brother are planning the stag do for the third brother.
We are planning around Edinburgh in late March.

There will be probably be 14-16 people and we are a fairly quiet lot.
The intent is to stay fairly central.

We've split up the tasks and I am looking at places to eat and some form of pub crawl (classy pubs with good drinks over Carling and a fight).

Looking for suggestions :).

The classy pubs are on George street then Rose street, the Grassmarket and the Royal mile more mid level touristy pubs with the odd dodgy pub here and there.

Our stag went into a place called Western Bar which had strippers. Not my cuppa tea but the OP did mention a stag do.

The majority of our stag weekend however was in Glasgow and we did Go Ape and a casino and I enjoyed both of those. The Edinburgh bit was just a day trip as part of the weekend.

I'd go Glasgow too.

Morning - Paintball, footgolf or go karting, etc. Spend the day in the west end - ashton lane then at night go to the corinthian; lavish nightclub in the basement and casino as well as bar and restaurant all in one, you will need to dress smart to get in though.

For food the asian place that does teppenyaki next to rotunda casino is good but expensive a much cheaper but better option imo is kebabish (indian) in the south side.

The only reason why Edinburgh is the capital is because of the castle other than that it has nothing tbh. Glasgow is the real capital. You could even do a subcrawl in Glasgow.

In Edinburgh the clubs seem to be spaced too far apart. At least with Glasgow everything is central and the high street has more than just kilt hire stores.

agree with this. mates were at a gig last night in edinburgh and they felt it was like being in the twilight zone. in a club called the hive they said one room was playing bob marley and another room playing blink 182 with 14 year old girls running around.

Glasgow is so much more central. khubla khans was mentiond. the one in glasgow is really nice. just at the side of merchant city with some nice pubs round about.

Haha what did they expect if they went to The Hive?! just because your mates picked probably the worst place to go out in Edinburgh doesn't make it a bad city for a night out.

You can do any of those things in Edinburgh.

Favorite restaurant is La Garigue, (sp).

It's obviously french but does 3 courses for £35 from their entire menu, there's also a 2 course option. It's a little known place but has won many, many awards and food and service are both fantastic, we fell out of our previous favorite place due to shocking service.

Edinburgh has a subway?

Edinburgh has a lane similar to ashton lane? fyi it's a lane full of really nice pubs you could spend a full day there going from one pub to the one next door or across the road. probably about 10 pubs within 10 seconds of each other.

Is there a nightclub that comes close to the classiness of the corinthian I would definitely want to know about it.

you can rent a private room in there for stag do's etc so your practically guaranteed to get in if you do that even with slightly dodgy gear on.
