You sound like an employer from the 1950's arguing why women shouldn't be paid the same as men as "they can't carry as much".
As has been said the likes of modern armour doesn't weigh that much, and is certainly easy enough to wear. Weight isn't the issue, it's distribution, which is why if you get that right you can carry a lot more for longer*. It's one of the reasons people will spend time redistributing items on their person after using some, if they get unbalanced with their load it is harder to keep moving for as long and increases the chances of an injury.
You don't have to be massively strong or tough to wear it, and I doubt she was carrying a backpack full of supplies unlike soldiers, in which case her total "load out" being carried was probably not much more than would be carried as shopping, given an AK47 for example weighs around 4kg, so 4 bags of sugar or flour, a couple of bottles of coke, or a large newborn baby (something that is far more unwieldy than a weapon, and yet women throughout the ages have managed to carry them around for very prolonged periods of time). .
*One of the reasons those baby carriers that strap the baby to your front or back are popular, and I've not noticed women having massive problems with them, even with large babies.
