Very reasonable I think and well done to the exam boards.
We should probably cancel Easter holidays then.
But is is fine to cater for one particular religious denomination?
On that basis then, should a student be allowed to take an exam as ans when they feel fit?
I absolutely agree but should I have to change what i do to accommodate that?
So you're currently at school or sixth form studying GCSE or A-Levels and you have to change to accommodate someone else?
Lets cry for the poor students who get a couple extra weeks of revision, seems like a win all round personally.
Next in line will be the creation of official holidays for whatever festival they have next.
I can't see this changing anything, but neither can I see it as necessary.
I disagree with religion demanding compulsory behaviour from children, there is no requirement for kids to fast and I think the parents should put their children's exams first.
The same applies to those that want to take their children on holiday during term time, you won't die if you don't go skiing in Aspen every year.
As a country we are historically Christian, this is part of our culture, on principle we should not allow other religions to make demands. Next in line will be the creation of official holidays for whatever festival they have next.
If they wanted to they could have changed the timetable to avoid hayfever season, but they didn't, which makes me think this is just another idiot whitey dreaming up new ways to be multicultural.
Someone should start appreciating that islam isn't flavour of the year right now, so anything seen as "making demands" should be left on the shelf for now. It creates unwanted friction amongst those who didn't vote for any of this.
