Do Lego still make boats that actually float on water? I remember some of them did.
Excuse my ignorance, but have Lego ever made a "UCS Pirate Ship"?
That would be amazing.
I received a customs note today for the Red Five X Wing I ordered from a USA seller, £13.93 and £8.00 handling, total £21.93 so that pushed my final total up quite a bit.
Yes - most of the City boats float.Do Lego still make boats that actually float on water? I remember some of them did.
Are there any sites which will recreate retired products from their individual parts? I know you can sit and enter all the numbers into the brick sites and come out with something, just wondering if there's a quicker and cheaper way? Would quite like the modular buildings, but the retired ones are obscenely priced, but I'm not that bothered about the box, and you can get teh instructions online.
Yeah, found the PDF too. Been randomly checking some parts and although most seems resonable there is a couple, like the yellow 4x4 90 degree corner piece, 16pcs of those cost a smaller fortune(Item no 4257699). The total cost for those 16 is roughly 1500SEK, compared with the Crawler Crane which has a price of 1300SEK. Not checked postage and such though but seems like those I randomly checked was all from different places so if one would try and build the MF through BrickLink the postage might be a killer. Or what did you use to obtain all the different pcs ??
So the yellow technic 90 degree corner pieces you buy in black not yellow. You can't see them on the finished model so buy a cheaper colour. There are a number of ways of using different coloured pieces to being the cost down.
Some pieces may only be at one or two stores - check if colour can be changed to improve availability. Also look for Brickefficiency software. A little tool linked to your Bricklink wanted list that will find your wanted pieces from as few bricklink shops as possible. It needs checking before purchase as it's not always right but is a good tool.
