Yes PLEASE !!! :D

I can confirm that Ecto-1 won't fit inside the Firehouse without removing most of the ground floor furniture, which I find somewhat disappointing. I'm not willing to do that so Ecto-1 will have to live outside. It's also a hell of a lot bigger than the modular buildings.

That is bigger but it looks to be on the same scale, the floor levels looks to be very similar, so it'll do as my fire department building!

Can't help but feel they have really messed up in the design front with the vehicle not fitting within the standard build. 4000 bricks and a large floor span, and they cba to fix the ground floor to allow it to park in the building it was meant to park within.

So do you think it was worth the premium?

Yeah that is a bit of a shame about it not fitting ECTO-1, but the build still does look really good, and I doubt I would have ECHO-1 inside if I had them on display anyway. It does just seem a slight bit more thought could have gone into that point though I wonder how difficult it would be to try and extend the floor/building length to allow it.

I think the firehouse is probably at about the limit that Lego would have wanted size-wise.

Ecto-1 isn't in scale anyway, so to get it to fit comfortably would have meant making the firehouse not only deeper, but bigger overall, otherwise it would look odd.

Shame that you have to remove things to fit the Ecto-1, but in a way it looks kinda cool with it part way out. On call, if you will :)

I didn't think of the set like this... and now I want one. Oh dear :(

Finished my Batman Tumbler and love it. Really enjoyed building it and its amazing how much of a difference the little wings you make when you add them to it. It's fantastic.

Considering all new Lego items go to a review panel and they spend months deliberating every product, I can't believe they haven't made the firehouse big enough for Ecto 1 to fit in it. In fact, its ridiculous and is the reason I wont buy the Firehouse.

Don't see the issue unless you want it as a toy. You wouldn't want to display it hidden. If you care that much about displaying so the nose is just visible then just build half an ecto.

Finished my VW Camper Van today. Little details like the tap, the fold out bed bed and other interior bits and bobs made it a lovely set and a joy to build :)

If I were to nitpick it's that I'd prefer the few windows that needed transparent stickers to be printed bits instead, and it would be nice if its scale was in line with the Mini (I think it's a bit smaller). No idea what it's like compared to the Ferrari... but I'm sure I'll find out soon enough :D

Minor quibble really, not something that I could be concerned about, it would be akin to moaning about the UCS Falcon is not quite big enough (compared to the home brew Titan version).

I think the Firehouse looks fantastic, really fantastic, great for display and actually has tonnes of playability inside too.

Just watched a review of the Firehouse... it shows that Ecto 1 can fit in there if you just take out the few bits and bobs in the front of the firehouse and the desk? Not a big ask I reckon and sorely tempted to get this....

But where the hell do you guys put all your lego shizzle? Especially if you got youngling running around trying to break your mantoys!

*snips*

Finished mine yesterday (bought it at Brick last month/year)! Lovely build, great detail and looks good with the Mini (which I also have) even thought they're not the same scale!

I've got the F40 on order (had £15 of VIP and a £10 voucher for my birthday) so I'll line them all up once it's here and built!! :D

These things are surprisingly massive! I'm not massively happy that the stands are an integrated part of the model, but there isn't really any other way to do it.
