***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

It's by a guy called Anio, you can purchase instructions from him, its massive though, 5000 pieces so i hope you want a challenge :D

Thanks, that one does look similar as to the one in the photo. Found a couple others but was slightly different though. Have bookmarked the site, might buy instructions from him later, he only asking for 5 Euro for them, although adding that donation is welcome. :p

And in regards to being 5k pcs, that be ok. Falcon is 5174 parts and thinking of maybe building that one as well one day. :)

I bought around 6500 bricks, give or take, from around 40 different bricklink sellers when building my AT-AT and never ran into a problem with any of them

Coolage.

Thanks. Just waiting on one seller in France to confirm the order then hopefully that will be that. It was literally the last piece of my ARC-170 set that was missing. So annoying! and it wasn't like it was just a tiny little piece that you wouldn't notice, it was half of a wing!

Some sellers were slower than others but everything I ordered turned up eventually

Here is the right page, in French though so use google to translate it. Click on Conclusion and it brings up the price (5 Euro) and the email address you have to use to request to purchase the instructions.

@oulton - You might want to have a word with Bipolar Kittens about that build, he is in process of building it now. Personally I would go for something lesser in size and relatively new, with the AT-AT you have to search for all parts from different sources, which is time consuming and might put a damper if you not built anything for a while (just personal reference though). In the end though, up to you. :p

Thank you TheSwede - So have you had a go at building the Venator?

Who has had a go, were the instructions easy to follow, any pitfalls and approximate total build costs once you have all the right pieces?

Sent off an email to the guy, fancy having a go myself.

Edit - Email just returned '[email protected]' invalid recipient :(

Whats the best way to gather parts for a MOC build?

Can you do it through bricklnk like OE sets? - Never mind, done it now :)

I watched that AT-AT build last week, is that the same model Bipolar Kittens was/is attempting? I recall he had worries over the legs supporting the weight also.

Amazing model, but a massive task.

Couldn't agree more, if the AT-AT was my first model it would have put me off for life

Wonder what the chances are of a lego deadpool set this year. So hard to find the minifig in near new condition for under £20, hoping they would do a set for the new film.

I got the green light to dip into our savings for this monster...

I got the Ecto 1 set last year and have somewhere to park it now.

Started the Mini Cooper, just finished book 1 of 2.

Fun build !!! Much more fun than the Tumbler actually. I found making the boot and the chair and even the gear stick much more satisfying than making the chassis of the tumbler.

Hmm the post woman come with a surprise package for me today, wasn't expecting these until next week since saying 5 days delivery time and it was shipped Tuesday. To bad I be working the next 4 days though, so wont be much building now. :( :p

I blame this entirely on you all in this thread though, tempting me with your creations. :p
