What audio set up do you have for your pc?

In office.

Asus Essence ST, Edifier S730 but with 2 x non amplified E1600T speakers (from 2 sets of E1600T's!!). Basically the sound of E1600T but with Edifier Sub and slightly better amp!

In lounge .

Media PC with SPDIF from Gigabyte board into Pioneer AZ-370, then 4 x Yamaha NS-F160 speakers + 2 Pioneer Surrounds. Amp is rated 240 watt 8ohm and total speakers are around 175 watt 8ohm, sounds far better then the office setup above.

KEF Q300's, powered from zone 2 on my Sony 1050 amp.. although i'm looking for something like the NAD/Arcam that can go optical > analog from the pc to the amp. As currently just using analog connection/Bluetooth if using macbook.

No headphones currently :( did have the AKG k550's.

Cheers I reckon I will wait for payday! I have spare amp at the moment that i could run speakers from a 3.5m to RCA from my sounds card so my not need the AMP\DAC, do you think the DAC add's much? My sound card is decent ASUS one....

I had an Asus sound card myself but my new set up sounds much better.

Cambridge Audio DAC Magic Plus > NAD 3020 > Dali Zensor 1 Speakers

Cambridge Audio DAC Magic Plus > Audio Technica ATH-AD2000X (Main Headphones)

On my gaming PC I use a lovely little Meridian Explorer2 Dac into some headphones or B&W mini Zeppelin.

Downstairs next to my sofa of Housey land for my MacBooks when working/browsing later at night I have a NAIM DAC-V1 into some Beyerdynamic T90's, USB connection to music source on MacBook (Spotify, Tidal, NAS, iTunes etc etc):

Just wondering how that NAIM DAC-V1 stacks up against my arcam irdac / graham slee srg11 combo ?? Any opinions on if close , and if i'm not would it be worth selling mine to invest in that ?

Got a PCIE Titanium HD which outputs to the following

Dali Kubik Free (Pair) + Dali Fazon Sub 1 subwoofer

Sennheiser RS 220 wireless headphones

Beyerdynamic A1 headphone amp
Beyerdynamic MMX 300 headset
Beyerdynamic T1

No idea as I've not heard the Arcam stuff. Lots of good things about the Chord DAC's but frankly it's subjective stuff. I like the upgradeability of the NAIM and it does a good job with USB for Mac connectivity, which was important as I use a Mac for playing digital files. Going to get myself a new amp and speakers next month so got a few auditions arranged when I can find time.

Very similar setup to you, diamond 9 speakers with a SMSL SA-50 mini amplifier.
Signal sent to it via a creative x-fi titanium soundcard.

I'm very impressed with the sound quality from it for the price.

I recently got a pair of Diamond 9.0 to play with as well, due to having £25 off discount speakers because of buying the Monitor Audio A100 amp so I effectively got the speakers for just £15!

I am really surprised by this tiny set of speakers with how good they sound despite their size. I have now use them to replace the small satelites of the AE Aego M 2.1, and now I have a really awesome set of 2.1 system (the Aego M 2.1 was already great to begin with, but now it sounds even better!).
