Hey there, stud!

It's going to be icy in the morning.

Go with the roady option - carry a couple of spare chains, maybe a new cassette as well, and you never know with chainrings.. ;)
:D

I do find myself with more and more "just in case" stuff these days. Only thing I've ever used is puncture repair stuff :p
So, got my first puncture on my last ride.

Do you guys carry spare tubes/pump on most rides?

Yeah I carry one tube, a box of patches and CO2. On the road bike I have a CO2/mini pump combo.

Anyone doing the Norwich and Ipswich swarms ?

I'll probably do the Norwich 50 in June. Problem with the Swarm for me is that 35 miles is a decent normal ride for me while 70 is a bit beyond me. I need something in between :o

That said, after being dead keen to do it last year but not being able to do so because of work I'm not actually that fussed this year. I think I'd rather do a variation on the route from my house on my own and spend the entry fee on pies.

What's your route like? Looks similar to ours today but goes out a bit further. Might pinch the GPX off you and check it out.

I expect going out to Windsor to be a bread and butter ride for me this year. Good distance and elevation for some TT bike action!

Yeah looks similar, a mate created it but feel free to use. Reps of drift road would be ideal on the TT bike.

At this time of year in particular, I can't understand why anyone would stand at the side of the road trying to manually inflate a tyre. Fully inflated in 2 seconds using co2 with zero effort. Bit of a no brainer. I just carry a pump in case I had more than two punctures, but its never happened.

Bloody hell it was a year ago that I was riding with sky! Wish the weather in majorca reflected that of over here at the moment.

Exactly the same for me. My mini pump has never been used beyond testing to make sure it worked. On my MTB I only carry CO2.

My Birzman Infinite seemed a bit of a crude setup with the CO2 cartridge just screwing on to the inflation adaptor but I actually prefer using that to my Lezyne alloy one. No need to be able to control the flow when using the regular 12g CO2 cartridges.

My shoes only have the SPD holes and nothing for SLs, so had to order a new set of shoes so I can fit the cleats for the vectors! Bummer. I'll have to fit the SPDs to the aeroad for the ride out tomorrow.

It's -8c at 8am, but I don't want to miss going out :p

So, rattling in the front wheel yesterday. Took the rim tape off and found the below:

Bit of carbon has broken off and is now stuck inside. I've contacted the seller but as it's a Chinese special I'm not hopeful.

Annoying.

Remind you got carbon wheels?

Also mate bought the below , EX pros bike from 2013 Paris/Roubaix which was ridden once and then hung up in a museum in Italy. Very tempted to get one myself thoughts ?

So are those Bianchi's cheap because they are ex tour bikes or do they carry a "ridden by the pro's" tax?

That does look mint though. I'd expect most professionally used bikes to be mechanically spot on but cosmetically a little rough.
