*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Yes, the PS+ version was IMO a bit of a mess. The game itself is now very good if all you want is a arcade racer that looks very nice. easily one of the best looking games this gen so far, and the devs just keep on adding more and more content, but the PS+ version was a bit poorly handled.

Game is worth the asking price though. It also goes on PSN sale very regular as well.

Ah I see, from what I've played it seems pretty fun so far and at £11 to upgrade to full, I'll probably just do it.

The original point was for it to serve as an extended demo of sorts for PS+ members when the full game launched, with the option to then pay a discounted price to unlock the rest of the content. Instead it was delayed for so long that they may as well have just released it as an actual demo to everyone, instead of putting it on PS+ for a month or two long after the full game was out.

The launch was a total shambles, but the game itself is pretty good now and they keep supporting it with new content and features.

Hi

Always wondered what the point of a uplay account is when playing games like Assassins creed .

Im wondering if a uplay account is optional or not, I really can't remember how I went about signing up for a uplay account but personally if it's a waste of time I would rather unlink it and delete the account if possible?

I think uPlay is optional on consoles but mandatory for PC titles. I don't mind it. In Far Cry 4 for example, you get a couple of bonus things like painted elephants and weapons. I like the way they have achievements which give you points which you can then spend on such additions instead of them just being a token thing like trophies.

I've heard users saying the newer version ps4 is virtually silent, so I think it could have been possible for a silent x1 with internal power source.

The one with the tactile buttons on the front? I've got the MGS PS4 and its still loud as **** playing something like MGS or the witcher

The 1200 is whisper quiet. It is so quiet at night when I'm gaming, the loudest thing in the room is me hammering the 4 buttons. Then of course some other games like Uncharted Remastered keeps spinning the disc quite fast. Most games though the disc stops.

No matter what action or how many characters appear on screen and explosions, you never hear the fan.

Just bagged myself a thrustmaster t150 after seeing on a crazy deal on hukd (don't think I can say the actual place here) but it was sub £45 brand new!

Anyway, gonna get on driveclub for a blast around the track now.

Picked this up myself yesterday (reserved it on the saturday when the deal first went live). Its a complete steal at that price. Doesn't improve my driving much, still 5-10 seconds behind polynomial on the tracks I've done. Only thing I'd change are the pedals, they slip on my carpet. The actual wheel is good.

So it's a good wheel then?

Debating whether to actually go and get my order. It's not something I want, but damn is it a good price. Shame it doesn't work with the X1 as only driving game I have on my PS4 is DC.

Can someone recommend me a decent single player game for the PS4 please, that's a PS4 only title.

Already have:
Last of Us (loved it).
Destiny (not a fan).
Until Dawn (yet to play).
Unchartered 1,2 and 3 (liked).

Thanks.

Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain and Ground Zero's - Gameplay wise is outstanding. Story a bit difficult to follow if you haven't played the other MGS games.

Try watching "uKnighted" channel on Twitch. The 3 streamers on that channel Drk, 3dogg and Knight are probably the most knowledgable MGS gamers about.

MGS games always bored me to be honest. I've got Rapture and Bloodborne. Between them two and Arkham Knight, Tomb Raider, Fallout 4 and the other PC Games I've not played yet should keep me busy enough.
