***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

Fantastic now it's built, however I wasn't that impressed whilst building it. Obviously a very "samey" experience, to be expected;

I've also found two Millennium Falcons Micro Fighters which are sealed from Morrisons. I'm after the X-Wing Micro Fighter but they seem to be going for crazy prices on Amazon.

If anyone wants to trade then let me know (if suitable with mods, I've searched trading in the forum rules and it came up with nothing).

Like most people I am going to have limited space to display my builds so my Lego collection will not grow as large as I would like it to so due to them being much smaller I am going to start collecting a few mini figures.

After feeling they were a massive 'waste of money' I have had a change of heart partly because I have seen some excellent mini figure displays and the small amount of space that they take up.

I am going to start with Star Wars figures only, then maybe some super hero ones. Buying them on their own is or can be costly, however I have noticed a few cheap Lego sets with mini figures included.

Does anyone else collect the figures, are there any cheapish sets out there with a good collection of mini figures included? Amazon have quite a few small sets on offer around £5 cheaper than the Lego store, 75099 Reys Speeder for £14.53 but what I assume will be the desirable Rey mini figure and one other included.

75137 Carbon-Freezing Chamber £19.98 includes Han Solo, Boba Fett and an Ugnaught or 75133 Rebel Alliance Battle Pack and 4 Rebel Troopers.

Anyone else collect the mini's and if so do you watch out for cheap packs?

No, I collect sets. But living in a relatively small flat can make this difficult! So we bought a glass shelving tower from IKEA to display our sets.

As the collections have grown, with things like the Falcon above, we've had to get creative with where things go (on other shelving units, windows sills and the like).

Speaking of the carbon chamber, it offers exceptional value for money in terms of mini figures, and was a fun build;

Han is on the other of the carbon freezing chamber in that photo.

I've finished my 2 new modular buildings on the right. Was less than impressed with brick bank, it just didn't seem as detailed as the others.

I'll take some pics of the rest of my collection, once i've cleared up the mess I made of the AT-AT this morning.

I started off collecting just the minifigures. My first ones were the ninja turtles. I aim to collect all the series minifigures. Mostly just use ebay and occasionally bricklink.

I've since started collecting sets as well. Got 8 big sets and just ordered the corner deli and the bike shop/cafe. No where to really display them at the moment either :(

The Town Hall is the most impressive looking one of the lot, but I think the ones the pet store and detective's office are great as you get 2 buildings in one.

Greivous is considerably bigger than all the other figures. He stands about 30cm tall, while the rest are more like 20cm. They are pretty cool though, or at least the ones in suits/armour are. The human figures all look a bit off.

Vader is supposed to be the best so far as he has a swinging arm and complex internal build. For £22 I'd have snapped it up.

I quite like the look of Vader and the stormtrooper but like the mini figures...I know if I start on one, I'll want to get them all and that's like £200 or something when there are more desirable Lego that I want.
