Not a hatch but could get a tidy Subaru impreza WRX for that money, 225bhp (260-270 remapped)
Oh of course, an Octavia VRS is another!![]()
MK2 preferably. In bright blue!
Or an RX8 for £2K - £3K so you have change for the engine re-build at some point during your ownership.
And then you might as well look at GTV's...If you consider a TT you might as well look at 350z's too
+2 Points in Motors Cliche bingo
A £6k corolla is laughable - at closer to half that it's worth considering
stretch back a little to a 2005 Clio Trophy, will get a sub 70k one for 6k
ff 182 are not going up in value and neither are turbo'd clios that are going to go pop sooner or later
You are going to ignore me and everyone else will call me barmy, but a 2006 Corolla T-Sport Compressor would be an interesting alternative to a Type R.About 225BHP from a 1.8 supercharged straight 4 with VVTL-I (like VTEC). Sounds awesome as well...
They are quite rare, only 500 made, but good ones can be had for £5K.
They will do 0 - 60 in 6.5 seconds, and you could get 40MPG on a run if you so wished... (I know you said you're not fussed about fuel economy, but not many hot hatches of that era can top that)
