The joys of Fiesta ST ownership.

This is one of the reasons why I will never buy a fast ford. This has been going on for decades!

It's not limited to Fords, as someone already mentioned it happens with Vauxhalls as well and there have been many many cases of E46 BMW M Sport bumpers being stolen as you can do it without breaking in. Where there are popular cars, there are scumbags looking to make money by stealing parts.

The security on my car is better now so the whole car is less likely to go missing now, but stuff like this is always in the back of my mind when I park it and have to leave it somewhere.

Only £150 for the Focus ST front bumper so I doubt it'd be that much.

he's talking painted, fitted etc. Plus you have the fog lights and grills you need to buy, soon adds up.

He is also going to need two wings as well i should imagine. I fixed mine myself. Someone from FiestaSTOC donated his two old wings to me, was great the "feels" that week.

People even steal the wheel centres off them at meets and shows, as much as I love Ford cars, the people in the 'scene' are often from the lower echelons of intelligence and moral standing.

Yup, I'm down to two now. They're about 15 quid so why if you want them don't you buy them instead of being a complete <insert swear word de jour>?

£1956 repair quote, awaiting the insurers decision on whether to write off or approve the repair.

I'm hoping they write it off, the whole event has made me completely uninterested in the car and I want something else to move on. Hopefully use the payout for an RS Clio 200 (Non-turbo) or mk7 ST deposit.

Unless you have all the evidence ready to hand to them, they won't even look in to it. The police are useless these days and seem too busy pointlessly chasing twitter trolls :/

Which is why ebay etc is full of obviously knock-off goods. No one bothers chasing them.

No, it's because everybody wants everything ever to be dealt with by them immediately when there's only finite resources available. Believe it or not they're doing the best they can.

Such a shame, scum!!!

The mk7 is targeted as well though. As is the Focus ST and RS. Except unlike the mk6, they can easily hack the car via the EU regulation OBD2 port and drive off in it (though this is a vulnerability on many current cars, even Ferraris and Lambos).
