Call of Duty 2015/Black Ops 3?

It's big, but not huge. I think it's just about right for TDM/KC/S&D. The other one that's city/snow/jungle is very weird and too big IMO.

Splash is too big for FFA but that's about it.
 
The new maps really aren't that big. They're no bigger than the maps that were in old COD's like MW2 or BO1. The problem with Splash at the moment is that half of the players try and use that glitch to get onto the roof.

I hope we don't get any remakes.

Remakes obviously do not work with the new movement mechanics, see Skyjacked and Nuketown.

That really annoys me because like you say those maps were brilliant, but they were good for a reason in previous games.
 
I actually like skyjacked and apart from the head glitching in nuketown, that's a good map as well. I'd much rather play them instead of hunted, Havoc, metro etc....
 
I haven't played the new maps to get a true sense of size however I am not sure they are too big. I think, as above, it is about map design rather than simple size. Look at some of the bigger maps of previous CoD's they were quite open maps or in the case of Wasteland very open map :p These DLC maps seem around the same size but due to the amount of buildings and little pathways / slides etc. the 'feel' bigger as it is easier to run around for minutes without seeing an enemy.
 
I was saying last night that the new maps have too many lanes and rooms. It makes games boring, dull and low scoring. I'd be happy if I could just play the smaller maps all the time. Combine, skyjacked, exodus, fringe, nuke town etc...

The best COD maps are always the 3 lane maps like Combine and Hijacked.

It was always the same with other small team games like counter strike too. Heck even some of the best BF4 domination maps were effectively 3 lane maps Dawnbreaker, siege of shanghai, Paracel storm, Operation locker.

In domination form these all played out like 3 lane maps, and even the ones that didn't like Golmud railway ,were compact enough to mean you never had to run too far to find somebody.
 
FFS, more changes coming to the weapons, looks like SMG's are getting nerfed, Vahn has said RIP Vesper.

I agree with Thunder that this game changes so much you never know what's going on with it.
 
They do everything apart from fixing the awful net code, which I'm beginning to think they can't. It's way worse than black ops 2 ever got.
 
I really wish there was another good shooter to play instead of this. The amount of changes is getting stupid. With the repeated buffing of shotguns and nerfing of seemingly everything else maybe we all should just accept that shotguns are the only weapons to use.
 
I swear the higher a rank I get and the higher a prestige I get, the worse the hit detection is, therefore I think sbmm is in the game - I never see level 1 noobs anymore. So its with all the sweats on crappy connections. I suspect if was on 8mbit ADSL again I'd be owning. Yes, quite a few of my deaths are bad aim/lost concentration, but its crazy in this game, so it can't be me all the time.
 
Thought double weapon XP would be handy getting diamond on my snipers - not high enough rank to unlock the P06 yet since my prestige.. oops!

Really?! How have they gone from blops 1 which was reasons balanced to this piece of crap. You have one burst kill weapons across all classes. It is a seriously kidified game now.

I'm tempted to dust of bf4 and go play some domination on that instead.
 
Ugh - playing hardcore to level up my KN-44 quicker, was 52-11 in Dom, get a crate and thought why not use it, TK'd for it. Guy collects it, so i decided to shoot him to even it up - my first TK and I got kicked? :(
