The joys of Fiesta ST ownership.

I don't want to get rid because of being a repeat target, I just want a fresh start as the car just feels 'tainted' now if that makes sense.

I'm a bit surprised.. aren't they selling for 3-4k? 2k is 50% of the value then :o

Yeah, only thing I can think is that the insurer would have to cover the costs of my modifications if they wrote it off and there's a couple of thousand right there so many they assessed it as a 5-6k value?

I had both side skirts stolen off my Clio Sport, but thankfully they left the bumpers!

Pretty sure I saw a 1.2DCi driving around with them on a few weeks later too, but no way to prove it :/

This sucks. When the side skirts were half inched off my Focus ST I sold it after they were replaced, I loved the car and didn't want to part with it but I just got paranoid one day I would walk out to find skirts gone again + bumpers and spoiler etc.

Scumbags. :(

Gutted for you - But even at 250 for a bumper was it not worth getting one yourself and painting it if the colour was wrong? Surely your insurance premium is going to foot the bill for the next 5 year?

It's more like:
bumper 250
grilles ~200
foglights 50
wings 50 (used)
splitter 80
arch liners 40

Then paint and hassle of getting it to a garage as it's not road legal just isn't worth it against £150 excess and the fact I get a courtesy car while I wait, I checked my premium for renewal and it went up by less than £100.

When you get it back, get some nuts and bolts to attach the bumper to the wings rather than just the screws and clips Ford use.

I suppose put that way it makes a bit more sense... :D

This might just mean more damage if they tried again?

You could stick the side skirts and other pits of plastic trim on with tiger seal. Then they will never come off :P

You could do the same with the bumpers I suppose, but your much more likely to need to take them off at some point.

Glad my MK7 ZS is an odd colour as this worries me! Different part of Sheffield but worrying none the less.
