DZ confusing the heck out of me


are you supposed to go rogue and kill everyone or just mill around looking for the very sparse targets?

Depends on how you play. You don't need to go rogue, you can just kill the NPC's and extract loot. Or you can go rogue and steal other people's loot and try and extract it.
 
Yeah I think I'm going to buy this. Played 5 hours and enjoying it so far.

Surprised as watching the videos I thought it was going to be grindy but doesn't seem to be.

Bit confused about the rogue thing. Seemingly random sometimes.

The last time i played in the closed beta your dark zone level dictated what level dark zone group you are placed into. ( or i remember it being that way ) he is saying now that your PvE level is the level that decides what level darkzone group you get put into.

PvE level that matters for DZ grouping, same as the last beta.

You have to remember this is open beta so a lot more players, so mobs dying as quick as they spawn.

uplay Alittlegreenman if you can add me to the list.

Also anyone tried that vid above in the OB, m8 says it was from clsoed beta, so may have been fixed.

the underground is a good area for chests and DZ keys... but mobs are gay as **** so 2-3man!

please remember kids this is a beta... about 95% of the game is unlocked... this game is gonna have a lot of depth to it when it comes to talents character play style etc

Even following the same path as him I'm a few milliseconds out of getting through so not sure if I'm a noob or its fixed.
 
Has my first real issue today, after all day yesterday and most of the morning, while running around the dz, my screen would freeze for a second or so, this would happen every 5 seconds. Only in dz.

Nothing running in background, overlay off, my network is fine, no high gpu or CPU usage no other game affected and outside of dz it.runs perfect.

My guess is that I'm being dumped into some overloaded dz instance? Anyone experience this?

Nope but I have been moved between DZ instances due to load. Not experienced anything you have written though.

I have come up against a few cheats so far today. They all seem to have left me alone which is good... Not too sure why they are doing it though considering they are just doing PVE in the DZ?

This happened to me but not in the DZ. Game was freezing every few seconds for a while when I just started out. Ended up rebooting and it seemed to solve the problem.
 
In the full game will I reply the same encounters like I am in the beta? I don't mean the missions. I know why we reply these (difficulty). I mean I've done all the side missions and they went to the story board to get the same missions. I assume this is because it's a beta?

Got in the DZ, all I saw was people running around doing nothing. I'm sure this is not what Ubisoft envisioned :p

Personally the game hasn't gripped me at all.
 
Had a great crack in the DZ this evening with my 4 man squad. We were in the roof top extraction point with another 4 man squad and one guy trolling all of us by just shooting you once to try and bait you into turning rogue. This went on for some time and we started talking of forming an alliance with the other team that if someone would take this guy out then no one would take out the rogue team. Well, no one wanted to take the first shot for fear of reprisals and all the time these discussions are going on more and more people are turning up, not calling in an extraction and joining in the voice comms about this guy, who is now baiting nearly 15 people!

Things feel very tense and all of a sudden a sticky bomb goes off and all hell breaks loose! :D

Great fun!

By the way, thanks to the 3 guys who spent all day grinding with me so I could buy a Legendary weapon! :)
