The Division. Are we interested?

I think it will have been your controller, I had the same thing when firing up the open beta. I have a large amount of USB controllers via a USB hub for Sim racing and once unplugged everything was fine again. It happens in a lot of games unfortunately and often no way to fix it apart from simply unplugging. :)

Thanks Muska, will be a shame if this carries over to the full game as I found it easier playing with the controller, plus I can also play on the TV. I'll wait and see...

Cheers

I'm sure you could use the controller with no problems, but using the keyboard while it's plugged I. Seems to be an issue. R6 Siege & BF4 both have me running in a constant circle firing with no way to unassign the controllers from being used!

They're all on uPlay anyway aren't they?

Should be quite a few keys for sale on the MM once more people buy up graphics cards.

I can just about live with uPlay being installed on my PC as long as I can still manage the download/install through Steam. Maybe...

I picked this up from a cd key site ages ago on the basis of the original vids for £20 - now the prices have shot up to £30 since the beta.

You can get this on steam - but it does play in UPLAY also.

Uplay is actually beginning to grow on me. I think with all of it's regular improvements nice download speeds ( that i simply can't get on steam ) and the sad fact that steam has been taking several steps in the wrong direction and really needs to get a grip has been making me see Uplay in less of a bad light :/.

Gabe really needs to take some notes i think.

Careful Harry, the Gabe Appreciation Society will be along soon to dismiss your thoughts as illiterate and incoherent ramblings of the uneducated masses. Only Gabe can save us. Apparently.

u do realise it was a beta ya?

Sorry should have been more clear in what I meant. In one of the side ops you could climb the roof tops for instance to scan the area but it was linear and although you could see ledges you could have dropped from etc there was just random invisible walls so you couldn't get there.

It forced the player to move only in small sections of the actual playable area.

It wasn't the only way they made the area seem larger than it really was but just an example. It would have been good to have more buildings to explore etc rather than railroad to different points with not much in between.

Anymore open and you would have endless building campers or the dz would appear deserted. Impossible to get the balance right for everyone.

The co op side has quite a few places you can go inside, rooftops, tunnels...etc.. And this is just the starter area.

I get what you mean, there was a mission that you could do that would put you on the rooftops with the flamethrower dudes and there was a ton of different routes using the stairwells that you could have used to flank them but all of them had a magic barrier in front of them preventing that. Hopefully there is less of that in the final thing but I have a feeling that it will still be there.

Instant Gaming have it for £30; it has been sub-30 for a while but has been creeping up as we get closer to launch. Key is for Uplay, unsurprisingly.

Honestly I understand the thought but as UG said that particular mission noted it just showed what they have done to limit the area so it makes it much more linear. And at moment we have no buildings for campers, let alone endless.

BF has more to explore on each map tbh than The Division does in what has been shown. It was the same Issue that people had with Crysis 2 when it showed sweeping landscapes that you just moved linear through. Was hoping this would break the mould on that a little.

The first mission also showed how linear it was. You could see people across the hallway where they were in the dinner section, but could only face them direct, no flanking option or anything. It was the same when in the stadium area. Small corridor play.

Each to own but there have been far better free roam than what was shown in the Beta. Just holding hope that it doesn't repeat during full release of the game.

I did think that too when I played the closed beta. It would have been great if there were more options open to attack, it just seemed (though not a great impression as it was only one mission) that you could only go one way. Some more vertical options would have been nice.

Well we had an amazing place to camp too high to nade and only a single ladder up. Nothing overlooking it so you could just sit there and mag dump anyone coming up the ladder to kill us rogues :D.

I know where you mean, often had rogue groups trying to survive the manhunt up there, we tried it too, however the whole server comes after you & we never made it, trying to hold off 18 people seemed near impossible when you have to reload/revive team members etc, good fun tho.

Did anyone manage to survive a manhunt? I know the rewards are supposed to be good, but what happens when the timer ends? if you get the rewards & your still rogue your probably going to get killed & lose a big chunk of them.

Also we noticed theres a range limit on turning others in your group rogue, we were split into 2 teams at one point on opposite sides of an extraction & 2 went rogue the others didnt.

My group survived manhunt four times, received 601 DZ credits each time, XP i do not know how much you get because already was at max levels.

For not surviving manhunter lost 900 DZ credits and lost over 4000XP. my mate lost 2300 DZ credits.

Shame that you don't seem to be able to get a cheap Steam key anywhere for this.

I've got a 20% off code for Ubi Store if you'd like it. I seem to have some kind of points accumulated on uPlay

Not sure if it's account locked or if the code can be given away but yours if you'd like to try it.

When we tried camping a position we didn't survive a manhunt, found it a lot easier by moving around and taking people out in smaller groups.
