How much do you spend on food a week?

I tend to buy at least one take out a week at £12 or so, usually no more than 2 per week. But I don't count Chinese because that is £6 and I pick it up on way home. Then £5 per day lunch. Then £10 or less for dinner. Then £5 alcohol. Then if I buy whiskey £25 if I have a few days holiday. Weekends I drink more and buy those big bottles so that can be 6 for £10. If I go to a pub with friends a few rounds is £30. All adds up. But at Christmas its a bit more because I purchased some extra things.

I could probably save the most by cutting down on alcohol and home deliveries I just really like the two Indian take away near me. Treid near everything on the menu :)

The little shortbreads add abit from M&S like £10, but my Wife would literally kill me at the suggestion of these going lol. All the rest is pretty standard, noting processed or packaged etc really.

Amazed how some people do this for a lot less! This is for 2 of us as well.

I saved a fortune cutting out meat for a few weeks...Got me really adventurous in the kitchen too.

Its amazing what stuff you can come up with so you don't get bored.

There's a restaurant where I work that serve subsidised food, so I have a main meal at dinner time for £2.75 a day then about £15 a week for sandwich stuff for tea, add a couple of odds and ends usually totals £35 a week.

£25-40 per week for 2 adults.

It's perfectly doable without resorting to smart price meats.
We eat well with plenty of fruit and veg, no ready meals.

Everyone is saying food is getting cheaper or at least staying the same price but i'm not sure. I seem to be spending more now than ever.

I spend ~£30 on lunch a week whilst at work plus about £15-£2 on coffee.
My weekly shop is no longer weekly, its about every 3 days and £30!

Thats just over £100 a week on food and drinks! (not including anything like restaurant meals or take-aways)
£20 A week on lunch
