I have 8880 and 8868 in the loft, still with boxes I believe. Would it be worth trying to sell them, or just hang on to them for nostalgia?

Up to you really, the prices on the older technic stuff tends to be more stable than the newer sets so I can't see the values going up drastically. Have a look around on eBay and get a feel for the prices they're selling for (it's been some years since I was in the market so I'm not sure on current prices) and make a decision on whether you'd rather have the money or the Lego.
 
Why do lego city vehicles not have opening doors or access anymore? They just seem to brick the figure inside nowadays and the only access is to pull the roof off.

Seems a bit rubbish tbh.
 
It was announced some time ago, this is just the official press launch.

Will definitely be getting it, something a bit different :)
