** Star Wars Episode VII - SPOILERS WITHIN **

Isn't this based on an email Amazon sent out but isn't actually confirmed?

We do the distribution on this where I work and nothing is confirmed on a release date yet.

Yep, my bad. Appeared on Facebook the other day. Checked it as well, Amazon US had set the date, so pre-ordered. Now been removed from the website. Oh well, just have to wait for an official release date.

I'm assuming they'll let this run as long as possible at cinema's. They must be making a fortune and to release too early on DVD would eat into those profits.

Yes April 18th here... and no 3D version till the end of the year I gather. WTF are they playing at

I've never know a film released in 3D at the cinema that has not had a Blu Ray release at the same time at 2D. No doubt it will also come with extra (cash milking) extras as well... shame on Disney

Are people still talking about this film? :p

I watched Guardians of the Galaxy again the other day and it made me realise just how much Star Wars was lacking. GotG did the action and comedy stuff so much better, and had strong characters to boot. TFA had a forgettable script, poor acting and weak characters. It was an attempted passing of the torch a la Blade Trinity. They had all those years to get the script and casting right. If they put someone like Chris Pratt in with a bit of personality, it could have been half saved.

I love this film

One of the better Marvel films out there.

Looking forward to the sequel!

I agree with this 100% TFA was an appallingly poor, unimaginative, lazy remake of 'A New Hope.' As Michael Caine said, 'if you're going to do a remake, remake a bad one.'

GotG was decent and entertaining enough but it is certainly over hyped to the extreme for some reason that I clearly missed. Perhaps I should re-watch it, not saw it since the cinema.

Thank you. It (GotG) genuinely is the worst film I've seen in years.

I remain amazed that /anybody/ likes it.

Some people get this weird irrational over reaction to something that's popular if they themselves don't like it. This is a case in point!

May not be your cup of tea but worst film in years?
